The darkness was suffocating, a thick, inky blackness that seemed to close in from all sides. I was alone, completely and utterly alone. The silence was oppressive, pressing down on me like a heavy weight. I couldn't see anything, couldn't hear anything, but I could feel the presence of something something watching, waiting, hidden within the shadows that surrounded me.
I tried to move, but my body felt sluggish, as if the darkness itself was dragging me down, sapping my strength. Panic began to bubble up inside me, the familiar grip of fear tightening around my chest. I called out, my voice echoing in the void, but there was no answer. Only silence. Only darkness.
I took a step forward, the ground beneath me feeling strange, like a thick, spongy mass that gave slightly underfoot. The air was thick and cold, a chill that seeped into my bones, making me shiver. Every instinct screamed at me to turn back, to run, but there was nowhere to go. No light, no sound, no escape.
