[SAKURA]
The journey to Shenxia should have taken the Doiwa army at most three hours from home, given she had taken the best of the best in her army.
But three days later, they were still on the road, the battalion still walking the backwater roads despite their numbers. They had played all the possible games they could have in that period, did whatever there was, and slowly, they were running out of things to do.
So much of their lives had been impacted by the journey, and they kept moving still. It was almost a terrible joke, how the mad queen of Doiwa had been reduced to such roads. Yet even so, her people never questioned it.
Her friends followed with complete trust and faith.
And Erasthai, the woman who was not used to such long, continuous journeys, didn't complain about the strains of the long journey on poorly conditioned roads. They had all trusted their queen.
Maybe it would pay off.
Maybe it would be alright.
Maybe it would not be alright.
