Chapter 891 - 890-Sigil

The laboratory was a wreck; shattered glass, broken furniture, cracked seals, and the lingering residue of chakra that had been unleashed in the final moments of the surgery. Kushina stood frozen, her hand still raised from where she had been examining Renjiro's face, her expression caught between exhaustion and shock. She had seen many things in her life; she had witnessed the fall of Uzushiogakure, the sealing of the Nine-Tails, the rise and fall of shinobi who had reshaped the world. But this was different; this was something she had never expected to see.

Renjiro noticed her silence; his chakra perception tracked her stillness, her sudden lack of movement, the way her breath had caught in her throat. He asked quietly, his voice carrying the weight of uncertainty.

"Kushina…? What's wrong?"

She did not answer immediately; instead, she slowly reached for a mirror on the shattered workbench, its surface cracked but still reflective. She handed it to him without a word, her hand trembling slightly.

Renjiro finally looked.

His first reaction was emotional, not analytical; the relief, the shock, the overwhelming sense of something that had been broken finally being made whole. His vision was completely restored; crystal-clear eyesight, sharper than it had ever been, free of the burning, the pressure, the familiar ache of Mangekyō strain that had been his constant companion for years. Everything was sharper than before; the edges of objects, the subtle variations in light, the faint glow of residual chakra in the air.

Only afterwards did he notice his eyes.

The pattern was unlike anything he had ever seen; at the heart of his new Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, the design resembled an intricate six-fold spiral fused with a six-pointed star, forming a rotational sigil that appeared both elegant and intimidating. The pattern moved slightly as he watched, its geometry shifting in ways that seemed to defy conventional perception. It was beautiful, impossible, and utterly unique.

These are my eyes, he thought, his internal voice carrying the weight of the realisation. These are what I became.

Immediately after seeing them, Renjiro activated his chakra perception inward; he inspected himself with the precision of someone who had spent years studying the subtle movements of energy. He noticed the changes immediately; the ocular chakra was different, denser, more refined. The Yin chakra and Yang chakra had found a new balance, their flows synchronized in ways that had never been possible before. His Uzumaki vitality was still present, but it had been transformed, integrated with the Uchiha Yin in ways that defied conventional understanding.

Everything was different.

His biggest realization was not the eyes themselves; it was the chakra network. The Yin wrapped around the Yang, and the Yang wrapped around the Yin, like braided rope, like DNA, like a living seal. Every cycle strengthened itself; there was no leakage, no waste, no instability. The flow was perfect, self-sustaining, eternal.

This is the true explanation behind EMS, he realised, his internal voice carrying the weight of understanding. Not just evolved eyes. An evolved chakra network. The eyes are simply the expression of a greater transformation.

"It worked," he said quietly, his voice carrying the weight of years of effort.

Kushina finally spoke; her voice was a whisper, not about the power, but about the pattern.

"…Those aren't just Uchiha eyes."

Renjiro immediately looked up; his new vision tracked her expression, the way her face had gone pale, the way her hands were trembling.

"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice sharp with sudden alertness.

She did not answer immediately; she was studying the pattern, her eyes tracing its geometry, her expression shifting from shock to recognition to something that might have been awe.

"Long ago," she said slowly, her voice carrying the weight of ancient knowledge, "Uzushiogakure developed theoretical sealing matrices. One of them was called the God-Binding Sigil."

She paused, her gaze still fixed on his eyes.

"Purpose: bind foreign chakra forever. Not temporarily. Forever."

She shook her head slowly.

"Problem: impossible geometry. Nobody could actually draw it. Every seal master failed. Even generations of Uzumaki failed. Because the seal required too many intersecting rotational layers. It existed only as theory."

Renjiro absorbed her words, his mind racing through the implications.

"How much do you know?" he asked, his voice tight.

"Almost nothing," she admitted. "Only fragments survived. Only myths. Only incomplete diagrams."

She pointed at his eyes.

"…You're looking at it."

The implication was staggering; his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan had literally solved a centuries-old Uzumaki problem naturally. The pattern in his eyes was not simply a dojutsu evolution; it was a living seal, a God-Binding Sigil that had manifested through the fusion of his Uchiha and Uzumaki heritage.

Renjiro began connecting everything; the ritual, the spiritual synchronisation, the four Mangekyō, the living seals, the braided chakra. He realised that the eyes had not copied the seal; they had become the seal, integrating the impossible geometry into their very structure.

"The ritual didn't create new eyes," he said, his voice carrying the weight of his understanding. "It created a new kind of chakra network. The eyes are simply its expression."

Kushina interrupted before he could disappear into research; she asked the question that had been building since she first saw the pattern.

"What do they do?"

Renjiro instinctively understood; the knowledge was not learned, but remembered, as if it had always been part of him. He described the first ability, his voice calm, analytical.

"The Right eye's ability is called Fracture of the Wicked."

He paused, letting the name settle.

"It manifests a second self, a phantom made entirely of ethereal green Mangekyō flames. It is immune to physical attacks; it cannot be touched, cannot be blocked, cannot be destroyed by conventional means."

He continued, his voice carrying the weight of the ability's implications.

"When the phantom strikes an enemy, it targets their chakra pathway system rather than their flesh. It instantly burns and steals their chakra, filtering and channelling that energy directly back to me in real-time. It's basically a combo of my ability to split myself and my green flames."

He paused, letting Kushina absorb the implications.

"Limitless stamina. The ability to nullify massive enemy jutsu by having the phantom eat the attack. It is a battlefield control engine, resource denial, and infinite stamina generator."

Kushina's expression shifted from curiosity to recognition; she understood immediately how terrifying the ability was.

Renjiro then described the second ability, his voice carrying the same calm, analytical tone.

"The Left eye's ability is called Mirror of the Branded."

He paused, letting the name settle.

"I can place a permanent, invisible chakra brand on a target via physical contact or a three-second visual tether. The mark remains dormant and requires zero chakra to maintain."

He continued, his voice carrying the weight of the ability's implications.

"By activating the mark, I instantly plunge the victim into the Mirror of Regret from any distance. As the victim is forced to relive their deepest traumas, the mark violently drains their chakra."

He paused, his expression hardening.

"Once the target's chakra is fully drained, I have two choices. I can subjugate their mind and motor functions entirely, turning them into a sleeper agent or puppet. Alternatively, I can choose extinction, commanding the mark to consume their remaining life force and instantly stop their heart."

He paused, letting the weight of the ability settle.

"It's also a combination of my previous mark ability and the genjutsu one."

Kushina slowly realised that this was no longer simply genjutsu; it was psychological warfare, assassination, espionage, counter-intelligence, all wrapped into one ability. It was perfect for someone who worked beside Minato.

Kushina commented on the abilities, her voice carrying the weight of her assessment.

"These abilities perfectly match you," she said. "They're precise, efficient, strategic. Not flashy. They're abilities built to end wars quickly."

She paused, her expression carrying the weight of her understanding.

"Mangekyō powers reflect the user, Renjiro. These are yours because they are what you needed to become."

Renjiro gently touched one eye; no pain, no burning, no blindness. Just perfect clarity. For the first time since awakenin
