Rayquaza struck first, diving like a meteor with Extreme Speed. Its serpentine body blurred as it slammed into Charizard with tremendous force. The impact sent Charizard skidding backward across the ground, but he dug his claws in and flared his wings to stabilize.
"Not bad! But we're just getting started!" Ash called out. "Charizard, counter with Dragon Claw followed by Flare Blitz!"
Charizard roared in agreement. His claws glowed with draconic energy as he launched himself upward, meeting Rayquaza head-on.
The two colossal Pokémon collided in mid-air, claws slashing and tails whipping in a ferocious exchange. Sparks of dragon-type energy exploded outward with every clash.
Charizard's Dragon Claw raked across Rayquaza's scales, drawing a hiss of annoyance from the legendary serpent.

The Shiny Rayquaza twisted gracefully, using its superior speed to dodge most of the flames, but some still grazed its body, causing visible discomfort. "This thing is fast… really fast," Ash muttered. "But Charizard's power is nothing to sneeze at."
Rayquaza countered with Hyper Beam, charging a devastating orange beam in its mouth before firing it at point-blank range. Charizard barely managed to twist away, the beam scorching the ground where he had stood moments before.
