Chapter 295 - Chapter 295: (Movie 2) The Power of One Part 5

Inside the dimly lit lower chamber of Lawrence III's massive aircraft, tension hung thick in the air. Ash, Misty, Sabrina, Daisy, Giselle, Melody, Tracey, and the captured legendary birds Moltres and Zapdos were all confined within reinforced energy cages. The ship's alarms were blaring as it approached the next target: Articuno's territory.

Ash stood calmly at the front of the cage, his eyes sharp. "We can't just sit here. We need to free the birds before Lawrence captures Articuno too."

Misty nodded fiercely. "If those three legendary birds start fighting, the prophecy said it could destroy everything."

Sabrina's violet eyes glowed faintly as she assessed the energy barriers. "I can help weaken the cages with my psychic power."

Daisy and Giselle stood close to Ash, their expressions determined. "We're with you," they said in unison.

Melody looked at Ash with growing trust. "If you really are the Chosen One… then we have to act now."

Tracey adjusted his glasses nervously. "This is way bigger than I thought…"

Ash closed his eyes for a moment, focusing his Viridian energy and advanced psychic aura. A soft green-and-blue glow enveloped his body as he reached out with his powers. With a concentrated push, he shattered the energy locks on Moltres's containment unit.

Moltres burst free with a furious cry, flames erupting around its body. The legendary Fire Bird immediately turned its rage toward the ship's systems. It unleashed a powerful Flamethrower that melted through the barriers holding Zapdos. The Electric Bird emerged with a thunderous roar, sparks flying wildly.

However, as soon as both legendary birds were freed, their long-standing rivalry ignited. Moltres and Zapdos immediately turned on each other, launching devastating attacks Flamethrower clashing with Thunderbolt in a spectacular explosion that rocked the entire aircraft.

The ship's computer voice blared urgently: "Critical damage detected. The ship is going down."

Alarms screamed as the massive aircraft began to lose altitude, smoke pouring from multiple sections. Lawrence's voice echoed through the speakers, filled with panic. "What is happening?! Stabilize the ship!"

The aircraft crashed violently onto Lightning Island, the impact sending debris flying everywhere. The group barely managed to escape the wreckage, tumbling out onto the rocky shore.

Ash quickly helped everyone to their feet. "Is everyone okay?"

Misty brushed dust from her clothes. "We're alive… barely."

As they caught their breath, a piece of the ship's debris slammed into an ancient stone pedestal nearby. The pedestal shattered, revealing a glowing yellow orb the Lightning Sphere.

Ash stepped forward and carefully picked it up. The orb pulsed with electric energy in his hands. "That's two down… one more to go."

They quickly commandeered what remained of Melody's damaged boat and pushed off from the shore. Above them, Moltres, Zapdos, and the newly arrived Articuno were now engaged in a ferocious three-way duel. Fire, lightning, and ice clashed in the sky, creating chaotic storms that threatened the entire region.

A massive typhoon suddenly formed, its powerful winds scooping up Melody's small boat and carrying it rapidly across the turbulent seas toward Shamouti Island.

The group held on tightly as the boat was hurled through the storm. Waves crashed around them, but the typhoon seemed almost purposeful, guiding them exactly where they needed to go.

They crash-landed near the Shamouti Shrine. Soaking wet and exhausted, they climbed onto the rocky shore and made their way up the ancient steps.

At the top of the shrine, a Slowking waited patiently. Its eyes glowed with wisdom as it regarded Ash.

Able to speak through psychic means, Slowking's calm voice echoed in their minds: "Chosen One… you have arrived."

The Slowking turned and gestured toward three ancient pedestals at the heart of the shrine one for Fire, one for Ice, and one for Lightning.

Ash held the Fire Sphere and Lightning Sphere tightly. The final piece of the prophecy was close at hand.

The fate of the world now rested on whether he could complete the ancient ritual in time.

Ash stood at the heart of the Shamouti Shrine, the Fire Sphere and Lightning Sphere glowing warmly in his hands. The ancient pedestals awaited their final pieces. With a deep breath, he carefully placed the two orbs onto their respective platforms. The moment they settled, a brilliant light pulsed from the shrine, and the air around them grew heavy with ancient power.

Almost instantly, the sky above darkened further. Three massive silhouettes appeared through the storm clouds Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno. The legendary birds, enraged by the disturbance of their balance, dove toward the shrine with devastating intent. Flames, lightning, and freezing beams rained down, threatening to destroy the sacred site and everyone near it.

The islanders screamed and ran for cover. Ash shielded his girls instinctively as the first attacks struck nearby, exploding rock and ice across the shrine steps.

Then, from the depths of the churning ocean, a majestic cry echoed.

Lugia had arrived.

The massive Diving Pokémon burst from the waves in a spectacular display, its silver-white body gleaming as it soared upward to intercept the three birds. Lugia's powerful wings created enormous gusts of wind that pushed back the attacking legends, protecting the shrine from immediate destruction.

Lawrence III, watching from the wreckage of his crashed aircraft on a nearby cliff, stared in pure awe. His eyes gleamed with obsession as he beheld the legendary guardian.

"Lugia…" he whispered reverently. "The most powerful of them all. You… will be my ultimate prize."

The three legendary birds, refusing to back down, immediately turned their fury on Lugia. Moltres unleashed searing Flamethrower attacks, Zapdos bombarded with lightning strikes, and Articuno fired devastating Ice Beams. Lugia fought valiantly, using its immense power to quell the fighting and shield the shrine. Powerful Aeroblast attacks pushed the birds back, but the combined assault from the trio was overwhelming.

Lugia roared in pain as it took hit after hit. Despite its best efforts to calm the chaos, the guardian of the seas eventually faltered. With a final, sorrowful cry, Lugia crashed down heavily onto the rocky shore, creating a massive impact crater and sending waves crashing across the beach.

At that moment, a massive gathering of Pokémon began arriving from across the sea. Having crossed the now-frozen waters, thousands of Pokémon of all shapes and sizes poured onto Shamouti Island, drawn by the ancient disturbance. The sight was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Melody, standing near the shrine steps, raised her flute with trembling hands. She began to play the same haunting melody from the festival ceremony the song meant to calm the guardian. The pure, beautiful notes cut through the storm, wrapping around the fallen Lugia like a gentle embrace.

Lugia's eyes slowly opened. Using psychic powers, its calm, ancient voice echoed in the minds of Ash and those nearby:

"Chosen One… you must collect the final Ice Sphere from Articuno's island. Only then can balance be restored."

Ash nodded without hesitation. "I understand. I'll do it."

He turned to his girls, who were watching him with proud, loving smiles. Misty, Sabrina, Daisy, and Giselle all nodded in support, their trust in him absolute.

With a confident grin, Ash reached for three Ultra Balls from his belt. "It's time to even the odds."

He released them in one smooth motion.

"Articuno! Zapdos! Moltres! Come forth!"

In three brilliant flashes, Ash's own legendary bird trio appeared powerful, loyal, and ready to fight. The sight of three legendary Pokémon standing beside a single trainer left everyone stunned.

Melody's eyes widened in realization as she watched the spectacle. The prophecy line she had recited earlier echoed in her mind:

"The earth shall turn to ash…"

She finally understood. It wasn't literal destruction it referred to relying on Ash, the Chosen One, to save the world from turning to ash.

The stage was set for the final confrontation as Ash's legendary birds faced the wild trio overhead, the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
