As ash and his girls adventure take place another soul was moving towards the destiny of his heart lets change the location.
scence change:-
Kanto region Fuchsia City
Fuchsia City carried a quiet kind of charm in the late afternoon. The streets were lively but not overwhelming, lined with small shops, training grounds, and the occasional trainer passing by with their Pokémon. The air was warm, touched by a gentle breeze that carried the scent of flowers from nearby gardens.
Brock stood near the entrance of a modest café, adjusting the collar of his shirt for what felt like the tenth time.
He wasn't nervous.
…At least, that's what he kept telling himself.
But the truth was, this felt different from anything he had experienced before. This wasn't a passing crush or one of his usual over-the-top flirtations. This was someone tied to his past someone who had remembered him all these years when he hadn't even remembered her properly.
He let out a slow breath and glanced down the street.
And then he saw her.
Lucy approached at a calm, steady pace, her long dark hair swaying gently behind her. There was a quiet confidence in the way she carried herself, something composed and self-assured but her eyes, the moment they found Brock, softened immediately.
She slowed… then stopped a few steps away.
For a brief moment, neither of them spoke.
Brock broke the silence first, offering a small, slightly awkward smile.
"Hi… Lucy, right?"
Lucy nodded, her lips curving into a gentle smile.
"Yes," she said softly. "It's been a long time… Brock."
There was no hesitation in her voice when she said his name.
That alone made something in Brock's chest tighten.
"I… I'm sorry," he admitted honestly. "I didn't remember everything at first. But after talking with my dad… some things came back."
Lucy shook her head lightly.
"You don't have to apologize," she said. "You were busy back then. You had a lot of responsibilities."
Brock rubbed the back of his neck, a little embarrassed. "Still… I feel like I should've remembered you sooner."
Lucy's smile didn't fade.
"I remembered enough for both of us," she said, half teasing, half sincere.
That caught him off guard but in a good way.
There was no bitterness in her tone. No accusation.
Just warmth.
They stood there for another second before Brock gestured toward the café behind him.
"Uh… do you want to sit? We can talk properly."
"I'd like that," Lucy replied.
The café was quiet, with only a few customers scattered around. They chose a table near the window, where soft sunlight filtered through and gave the whole place a calm, comfortable feel.
At first, the conversation was simple.
How they'd been.
Where life had taken them.
Brock talked about his journey traveling with Ash, the battles, the places he had seen. He spoke about learning more about Pokémon care, about wanting to become a top-tier breeder someday.
Lucy listened carefully, her attention never drifting.
"You've always been like that," she said at one point.
"Like what?" Brock asked.
"Taking care of others first," she replied. "Back then, you didn't even hesitate to help us, even though you had so much to deal with."
Brock smiled faintly. "That's just who I am, I guess."
Lucy shook her head slightly.
"It's more than that," she said. "It's why I… never forgot you."
There was a brief pause after that.
Not awkward just… meaningful.
Brock didn't rush to fill it.
Instead, he looked at her properly this time.
Not as someone from a story his father told him.
But as the person sitting in front of him now.
"You've changed too," he said. "You seem… stronger."
Lucy laughed softly. "I had to be."
She went on to explain her own path how she had trained, grown, and eventually found her place working with Pokémon in her own way. She didn't say it boastfully, just matter-of-fact, but there was quiet pride in her voice.
"I wanted to become someone worthy of standing next to you," she admitted.
That made Brock blink.
"Lucy…"
She looked down at her cup for a moment, then back at him.
"I know it sounds strange," she said. "Holding onto something from childhood like that. But… you left a bigger impression on me than you probably realize."
Her honesty was simple.
Not dramatic.
Just real.
Brock leaned back slightly, taking it in.
"I don't think it's strange," he said after a moment. "I just think… I don't deserve that much credit."
Lucy smiled.
"That's exactly why you do."
After they finished at the café, they decided to walk.
Fuchsia City's streets were quieter now as the sun began to dip lower in the sky. The golden light gave everything a softer, more peaceful look.
They walked side by side, not too close, not too far.
Comfortable.
At some point, their conversation slowed not because they ran out of things to say, but because they didn't need to keep talking constantly.
The silence between them wasn't empty.
It was easy.
They eventually reached a small hill just outside the main part of the city, overlooking the surrounding area. The view was simple but beautiful, especially as the sky shifted into shades of orange and pink.
Lucy stopped first.
"This place…" she said quietly. "It reminds me of back then."
Brock looked out over the horizon.
"Yeah," he said. "It kind of does."
Another pause.
This time, Lucy took a small step closer.
"Brock," she said, her voice softer now, "I don't expect you to feel the same way I do right away."
He turned to her.
"But I wanted to be honest," she continued. "I've liked you for a long time. Not just because of what you did back then… but because of who you are."
Brock didn't interrupt.
"I don't need an answer today," she added. "I just wanted you to know."
For a moment, the only sound was the wind brushing through the grass.
Brock exhaled slowly.
"I'm glad you told me," he said.
Lucy looked at him, searching his expression.
"I won't lie," he continued. "I'm still trying to figure things out. This is all… new for me, in a different way."
She nodded, accepting that.
"But," Brock added, his tone steady, "I'd like to see where this goes."
That was enough.
Lucy's expression softened, relief and happiness mixing quietly in her eyes.
"Really?" she asked.
Brock smiled.
"Yeah. You waited this long… I think it's only fair I give this a real chance."
Lucy let out a small breath she didn't realize she'd been holding.
"Then… we'll take it one step at a time," she said.
"Sounds good to me," Brock replied.
They stood there a little longer, watching the sunset together.
Not rushing.
Not forcing anything.
Just… sharing the moment.
And for the first time
It didn't feel like a promise from the past.
It felt like the beginning of something real.
