"Got off work early this afternoon," Lu Zhan said gently, reaching out and softly taking her hand, leading her toward the south courtyard.
"Why didn't you call to tell me?"
"I thought you might want to go for a drive, so I didn't call you."
"I just felt a bit stuffy, wanted to take a walk," she said quietly.
Lowering her head, she happened to see his large hand holding hers.
His hand was always so warm, especially in the winter, if he didn't wear gloves, it felt even more comfortable holding his hand.
His affection for her was gentle and genuine, she trusted her eyes and her inner feelings.
Suddenly, the heavy and gloomy mood she had all the way was gone when she saw him, and when she met his gentle and doting gaze, it was like the storm had passed, and she no longer felt troubled.
