Isabella was looking through the file in her hand as she descended the long, lightly dimmed corridor, ignoring the rising concentration of aether in the air. Something like that couldn't bother someone like her.
She reviewed all the content to ensure she was caught up on everything before turning her gaze towards the massive doors at the end, where two Mystic guards stood.
"Everyone is waiting inside," said one of the guards respectfully as he opened the door.
Isabella nodded, and walked past him. Her mind was too occupied to focus on greeting people at the moment.
As the guard had said, everyone was waiting for her, mainly because she was late, and not by a short amount of time. Normally she would never make a mistake like this, especially not when the meeting involved the Head Dean of the academy, but the upcoming international tournament had really caused her work schedule to descend into chaos!
