" Shut up ... You are too noisy " Vivian said in disdain as he increased the strength of his grip making the Lion whimper.
The Lion was bigger than him but he effortlessly lifted it by its neck before slamming it into the ground.
Vivian gazed at the Lion who quickly jumped away from him back to Sae as it stood beside her.
He could see some blood trickling down her lips as using the Utsusemi was taxing for her due to it not being perfect.
Vivian furrowed his brow as he couldn't let her use any powerful moves otherwise she will die.
But knocking out her wouldn't work because this was an independent avatar sacred gear ( artificial) . { I will call it sacred gear from now on because that is what it is }
" Balance breaker : Umbra Leon " Sae said in an emotionless tone as shadows started moving around her.
Vivian thoughts stalled for a brief moment as he debated whether to completely destroy the sacred gear or not.
If he didn't then she would complete the balance breaker and would probably cause more damage to her.
While he thought of all this only less than a millisecond passed and without hesitating Vivian teleported near the Shadowy Lion and punched it.

He didn't hold back as the Lion's body impacted the ground creating a crater, at the same time Sae stumbled back while vomiting blood.
Vivian gazed at the Lion which was knocked out but still not destroyed.
But it seems Sae did recieve some damage and failing to activate the Balance breaker created a backlash to her.
He watched as the Lion retreated back into Sae's body as she laid on the floor convulsing a bit.
Vivian quickly came near her and he could see that her eyes had received some clarity as she gazed at him pleadingly.....

" Please.... kill me... I don't want to hurt anyone " Sae begged the young man in front of her as she could see that he was was trying the best to save her but she didn't want him to get hurt due to her.
It was a pity that she couldn't be able to take care of Tobio ever again , her thoughts wandered to all the moments she spent with him but in the end she would never seen him.
She forgot how many times she had prayed for Tobio to come save her but it was for naught and she didn't blame him either but at the last moments of her life she was going die while gaizng at a stranger ... atleast he looked cute.
Sae couldn't help but think jokingly to herself as she felt her eyelids getting heavy and she didn't fight against it as these past few months had been torture to her.
" I won't let you die ..." She heard the young man say with conviction as he picked her up in his arms.
'Huh?' Sae was confused as to why this boy had so much emotions when he said those words.
She could feel his conviction when he said he wouldn't let her die.
" I-It's fine" Sae said with a shaky smile as she raised her arms which were stained with a bit of blood to touch her saviours face.
She didn't know why but she could see a myriad of emotions in his eyes and she had this urge to comfort him.
Sae knew she was going to die because attempting Balance breaker would lead to organ failure for her , she had sustained a lot of internal injuries just by attempting it.
" I meant what I said and I don't have a habit of making false promises " the young man said seriously as his purple eyes locked into hers intently making her heart skip a beat.
"Um.." Sae didn't know why but she felt flustered but she chalked it off to being at death's door and in the end she just responded with short hum as she comfortably leaned her head against his chest while gazing at his handsome face...

Vivian was serious about what he said and he had all but forgotten his intentions about Sae due to his desire to mess with Tobio.
Right now his concern and empathy was genuine because he saw in her a part of him.
She was also experimented and tortured while at the same time she too felt deep survivors guilt.
She felt like she owed her life to those who died before her.
Vivian hated these kinds of torturing experiments because he himself was a victim of it and this Sae was just a normal young woman who was kidnapped and tortured by a bunch of lunatics to help with their plans.
They even brainwashed her and made her do things against her will and he could see how sincere she was when she asked him to just let her die or just kill her.
But he couldn't do that .... He was going to save her not because he was a good person but it was for his own selfishness because saving her would make him feel good about himself....
