"Aha... well..." Izanami began to sweat a little. This might actually be her fault.
She just remembered that when she was creating that guidebook, she'd had a bit of a lapse in taste. She'd decided to design the personalities of the book spirits to be a total contrast to their races—well, not a total change, but she'd definitely amplified all their negative qualities.
Dragons were already naturally arrogant and pretty big bullies to begin with. With Izanami's extra little push, these guys turned into the absolute biggest bullies in the entire guidebook. But because she'd kept the book sealed away in her shadow dimension all this time, the spirits never got a chance to show their true natures. They'd been holding it all back for years, and the second Naruto unsealed them, they finally let loose.
Well, speaking of which, it seems dragons are really like the Uchiha clan. In the original timeline, the Uchiha clan was suppressed badly by the Konoha higher-ups. Due to their unique status as members of the Police Department, the Uchiha clan could not take on missions or leave the village. And this led to a situation where they could only bully the criminals they caught in Konoha.
And Danzo noticed this and used various schemes to involve many innocent civilians and made the Uchiha clan tarnish their clan's reputation by themselves.
"Okay, let's go and get that summoning contract you want," Izanami said as she beckoned Naruto to come closer.
Naruto came closer and looked at Izanami with curiosity and asked, "Big sis Izanami, are we going to teleport?"
Izanami had a mysterious smile as she spoke, " Well, we are not really going to teleport."
"Huh, if we are not going to teleport, then how can we gAhhhhhhhhhhh" Naruto's words were cut short as the shadow under his feet expanded and a black hole opened, sucking both Naruto and Izanami into it.
Izanami, who was the mastermind behind this, was already expecting this, but Naruto, totally unprepared, screamed due to the unexpected situation.
"Hahahahahahahaha," Izanami, seeing this, laughed heartily. She finally managed to break that mask of seriousness Naruto had.
After the graduation exam, Naruto had been giving off the feeling of someone who carries the world on his back. This displeased Izanami.
She, who had lived for hundreds if not thousands of years, had never become like that, but Naruto, who is only 12 years old, has that look. This made Izanami so annoyed. So this is why Izanami is repeatedly pranking Naruto.
As they say, when someone is getting mute, one should just annoy them so they will forget all the troubles and become lively once again.
And so Izanami decided to prank Naruto so much that he would come out of his emo mode.
'As expected, Yuna-sensei is the best,' Izanami thought to herself as she gave herself a pat on the back.
….
After a minute of falling, Naruto's feet finally touched the ground. After feeling the ground, Naruto opened his closed eyes. What came in front of him was a land that he would never have dreamed of.
It was a land that seemed to exist in the heartbeat between a dream and a long-forgotten legend.
The air itself was heavy, saturated with a pure, ancient chakra that tasted of ozone and blooming lotus, shimmering like crushed diamonds under a sky of swirling violet silk. Giant, white-barked trees reached toward two moons that hung in the midday sky, their golden leaves falling in a slow, rhythmic dance that defied the wind.
Everywhere Naruto looked, the more shocked he became. His eyes were almost popping out of his sockets.
In the far left, a white tiger with the size of a small house lay perched on a jagged outcropping of sapphire crystal, its silver fur sparking with tiny static discharges as it watched him with eyes of liquid gold. Further in the distance, the serpentine coils of an Emerald Dragon wound through the clouds, its low hum vibrating in Naruto's very bones.
Amidst the prehistoric roars of Winged Lions resting by a silver waterfall, he could see stranger creatures—a Lucario sitting in deep meditation and a pack of Arcanine racing through fields of glass-tipped grass.
And these were only the few Naruto could recognise. Apart from these legendary animals, there were many other animals that he only saw in that guidebook. If he remembered correctly, those guys should be called Pokémon.
He turned to look at Izanami and asked, " Big, where are we?"
"Well then, let me welcome you to my private holy land. " Izanami said as she began to walk. The direction she was walking is the same direction the big white tiger is.
But after taking a few steps, she paused and looked back and saw Naruto was still standing there in a daze. She sighed and thought ' Sigh, it seems I need to make sure to train his mind later. Just look at his mind. It already crashed with just this much simulation '
She then snapped her finger and teleported both her and Naruto straight towards the tiger tribe.
Originally, she was thinking of walking towards the tiger clan and explaining some knowledge to Naruto on the way. But with Naruto's current state of mind, such a thing is a waste of time.
In the next second, Izanami and Naruto arrived at the territory of the Tiger clan. When both of them appeared, and before Naruto could come to his senses, he felt all his hair stand on end. With his perception, he could feel many gazes lock onto him.
With these oppressive gazes locking down on him, Naruto felt cold all over. His legs were on the verge of giving out.
But soon, the oppressive aura suddenly disappeared. Along with it came Izanami's cold voice, " Hey, you guys sure have some courage showing off when I'm around "
Soon, centering around Izanami, an aura more overbearing than anything began to descend. Due to this aura, the tigers who were hiding earlier were pressed to the ground.
Soon, all the tigers were prostrating themselves on the ground while Naruto watched everything with shock.
Just as Naruto was about to say something stupid, another aged voice came from faraway.
"Lady Izanami, would you please be kind enough to ignore these young ones' foolish actions? "I promise you that I will make sure nothing like this will happen ever again."
Soon, the old white tiger Naruto that they had spotted upon entering this realm appeared in their sights. But unlike he expected, the beast was far smaller than before, having shrunk significantly compared to the mountain-sized creature he'd first seen. Naruto was pretty certain it was the same guy, though—mostly because that massive tiger from earlier was suddenly nowhere to be found.
"Oh, did I interrupt your sunbathing session, the White Tiger sage? " Izanami said with a sarcastic expression.
Hearing Izanami's words and seeing how Izanami was still not retracting her aura, the White Tiger felt a big headache coming. She knew her clan members were usually arrogant, but she never expected these cubs to even bring trouble like this.
And what's more, these cubs really thought to make a move on the very person this realm belongs to. If it were any other sage animal, the White Tiger Sage would be able to use reason and virtue to convince them and bail these guys out.
But now, forget bailing these guys; it seems even she may not be spared this time.
The White Tiger Sage then made a decision in her heart. And in the next moment, with agile movements, she leapt into the air and did a perfect dogeza and prostrated herself and prostrated under Izanami's feet. She even had tears coming down her face as she said,
" Cough, Lady Izanami, listen to my ..."
