Rae [Shadow Stepped] away from the cavern wall as the worm tried to crush her again, and laughed as the creature's massive bulk was torn apart by spiders.
It was good to see so many of the Goddess' chosen working together.
Much better than her two Golems.
The worm might think of itself as a grand boss of this place, but it was nothing more than food for the spiders today. It was just a shame that it didn't taste better.
Rae was determined that she would one day find the way to use that spell, but even being bonded with Karl, she still couldn't. It was stupid, she was a spider, they were spiders, they fought amazingly well together.
But she couldn't cast the spell.

While Rae was complaining about the unfairness of the System, Dana was more concerned with why the Oathbreaker Demons were suddenly so enthusiastic about killing this Manticore.
