"I don't want to go on a blind date, hmph, you're all bullying me, I'm ignoring you!" Yva Jack turned her head and walked past Valentine Teller, still saying, "Ma'am, please move!"
"She called me ma'am, am I really old?"
Valentine Teller wore a small, bitter expression; like all women, she enjoyed being told she looked young and disliked being told she was old.
No matter what kind of woman, they all have a heart unwilling to age.
"Don't listen to her nonsense. As long as it's a woman, she calls everyone 'ma'am,' you'll get used to it!" Eluard Jack shook his head with a laugh. His sister, well into her twenties, still hadn't grown up and was quite immature, really a headache.
"Oh!" Hoping it wasn't just Eluard comforting her, Valentine Teller smiled gratefully at him.
Suddenly, most of the lights dimmed, and a graceful, soft dance tune began to play.
Yva Jack appeared out of nowhere again, dragging Mark Reed into the dance floor.
