Chapter 32 - [32] Ara?

A/N: This chapter had some HEAVY grammar fixing.

===X===

-Otto POV-

Yeah, things are definitely going to crash and burn soon...

Because Aponia, the woman who can definitely see the future, is looking at me like a lost puppy that has finally found its owner.

There's also the fact that they are wearing makeshift concealment rings, probably to hide their magical energy from the devils that rule this Kuoh.

You would be surprised, but titanium is a decent conductor for mana. Well, like I said, it's decent as it can't take too much of it. It goes 'kaboom' if it does go over its limit, that's, unless you write some specific magic circles on it, which stabilize the mana inside.

Well, back to Aponia. All things considered, there are either one of two options: either the Herrschers are coming to our world, or Trihexa is going to be unsealed with or without [Sephiroth Graal] assistance by Chaos Brigade.

Sadly, it's the first one, as I've already confirmed that Elysia has the [Core of %^$%&] within her.

When I was doing my 'thing' with her earlier, I was actually checking if she had a core of any sort. From afar, I couldn't feel any honkai energy from her, but it never hurts to check up close.

And guess what? My gamble paid off. Elysia seems to have very good control of her Honkai energy and Core. It's to the point that even I need to get up close to her to sense it, even a little bit.

But despite my knowing that she has the core, Elysia herself doesn't know that I myself am a vessel to many of their powers. I'm like a mini Cocoon of Finality.

"I see...what a troublesome burden you have, Aponia," I spoke up as I broke the shocked silence.

"Sigh~ All of you meet me at Kuoh Park after school, it's better if we talk about this with no 'devils' hearing us." I didn't even bother looking at them as I walked away.

"Eh? Wait, Otto!" Elysia ran to me as she began speed walking by my side.

"What was that? I've never seen Aponia do something like that. Come on, tell me~" It seems like Aponia's actions made Elysia even more curious about me.

"Sorry, but you will have to wait after school," I responded calmly.

"Are you sure Kevin is even going to come? He's a very... careful person." The last part of her sentence seems worried, probably unsure that Kevin would come at all to begin with.

"He will. If he wants to find out about everything, then he will definitely come." Kevin might be a careful person, but he's definitely uninformed. And considering that they had Vill-V create makeshift concealment rings with just titanium, then I can only guess that they have no backing. No backing means a lack of information, and a lack of information means that I have caught their curiosity.

I did hear them talking about the devils, so at least they are aware of them, but not the whole other mess that they will have to deal with in the future.

"Hmm, please give little'ol Elysia a sneak peek~" she tried to sweet-talk her way into some early information.

Fine. If she wants it that way, then there's no other option left.

I stopped walking as Elysia looked at me with curiosity, ready to hear what I had to say.

I stretched out my hand as a bouquet was born from within my hands with [Rebirth], and wrapped them with some decorations with [Truth].

Rias and Sona might be able to sense mana if I use it in school, but they have no way of sensing Honkai energy.

Elysia only looked at my hands with her mouth wide open, her beautiful eyes dilated as they looked at the bouquet in my hand.

"You don't want them? It's rude to refuse such a beautiful gift~" I teased. She didn't say anything as she just took the flowers silently.

I knew this was going to happen, but she was going to find out sooner or later. Not like she's any different, but my origins are different than hers.

I only walked away as Elysia kept looking at the bouquet of flowers in her hand.

-Elysia PoV-

*Sigh*

I was quite surprised when Otto used that energy.

He could even use their laws despite not even having a core.

Fundamentally speaking, it doesn't feel like it originates from where I did; The greater Will.

It's as if he obtained that power by himself and not through bestowed means.

How troublesome, but at the same time I'm curious, curious about who Otto really is~

Looking at his departing figure, I sighed and returned to my friend. It seems like I'll have some convincing to do, after all, he owes me a proper answer~

-3rd POV-

As night fell over Kuoh, a few students could be seen waiting in the park.

"Are you sure about this, Kevin?" Asked Su. He knew that they needed info, but...is it really worth it?

Especially when it was all of them in the same place?

For all they know, Otto could be planning their 'accidental' disappearances.

"No, I don't trust him. But Elysia and Aponia vouched for him. That should be enough to give him the benefit of the doubt." Kevin trusts his comrades completely, even if he might be stubborn for their safety.

He especially trusted Aponia, since she has the best judgment of character, and there's also the fact that she's a psychic, so she should already have a small read of his intentions.

"Do not worry, Kevin, he shall hopefully enlighten you on what I could not." Aponia couldn't warn them of the Honkai, but perhaps he could? If he even has that information to begin with. Well, considering that he knew her name, perhaps he does. Now that fate has become a blurred line in her eyes ever since Otto arrived, things have become more and more unpredictable.

"Sigh~ I'm surprised by how lax you two are," sighed Fu Hua as she looked at Aponia and Elysia. From the moment she entered the park, her senses had been flaring off, telling her that something was wrong, and Kevin was the same as her.

"I have to agree with her, all of you are far too relaxed," spoke a monotone voice that was right behind the group.

"..." Kevin didn't dare move; that voice that had just spoken was none of his comrades. He had neither sensed the woman nor known she was there the whole time, which also included the other as well.

One wrong move or twitch of his could mean the end of his and their lives.

"Who are you?" Asked Kevin without turning back to see the mysterious woman.

"I am here on behalf of Lord Otto," She said with a small bow, full of elegance and dignity, just how a maid should be.

"Ara? Such a cute girl~!" Elysia, who didn't know how to read the tense atmosphere, hugged Rita as she thought that she looked super cute in her maid's dress.

Kevin widened her eyes at Elysia's actions. "Elysia, no-!"

"It is fine, master Otto informed me about Ms. Elysia's...unique personality." Rita was already prepared to get hugged by her, as Otto was more than sure that Elysia would hug her while saying something along the lines of 'What a cute girl~.'

Basically, Otto already had Elysia's personality figured out.

"Let's not waste any more time; let's depart." Before any of them could say a thing, a purple fog consumed them completely, making them disappear from the park.
