As Yuki glanced past the three heroes, she could not help but notice the elfs in the army up ahead barely moved at all, and there was something unnatural or suspicious about them now that she took a closer look. Being around 200 meters away, Yamato was unable to notice and neither was Petrisha, but Yuki could tell that their skin had a pale green tone to it, which obviously was unlike anything the elves she had met looked like. Even worse, most of these did not even seem like soldiers. Though most were male and height wise seemed to be adults, a large portion of them seemed to be regular civilians, having a blank stare while looking at the ground between them. With a theory in mind, she looked at Shizuka's abilities, which seemed to include an inspection skill, likely what gave her cover away earlier, and a necromancy skill, which was most likely what was going on here. Though she was unable to gain detailed information about the abilities the heroes possessed, what she could gather was more than enough.
"Boo, there's some kind of zombie thingy going on with the elves. I think we should best solve this one without our own troops. So that they don't get infected or whatever. Cause, y'know, zombie bites."
"So you were able to tell that much, huh? That's right, my magic is magnificent, isn't it? 300.000 is a force of nature, an unstoppable force! Even though we had to erase a smaller town for this, our partnership with the elves was temporary since the start anyway~!"
"Ew… I wasn't talking to you. And why do you seem so excited when talking about that? You're werid."
"Yeah, that's what they all say… But in this world, necromancy is a normal thing in most places, and death, in all its beauty is treated as a natural phenomenon, reversible and postponable even through the means of magic!"
"And this weirdo talked down to me… I've had it with your little circus troop! Trishy, kill all these disgusting creatures in the back at once! They ruin the scenery of my holy grounds!"
"M-Mistress Yuki, those are a lot of people, even if they act mindlessly, numbers aren't to be underestimated…"
Giving her the same threatening glance as before, Petrisha chose to just do as she was told. She was an archdemon after all, even if she was rarely permitted to act as one.
As she flew up into the sky, summoning her chained morning star and throwing herself in the surprisingly coordinated masses of undead armed elves, Tokio was about to intervene but was thrown into the ground by the increased gravitational pull he was suddenly experiencing. The force was equivalent to the force of 100 Gs, lethal to any regular person. As he crashed into the ground however, he was able to slowly force himself back on his feet, somewhat surprising Yuki through his resilience.
"Urgh… Rara, now would be a good time to tune in maybe…!?"
"Don't force an artist, creativity is the spontaneous root of all stars and it is best left without limitations!"
"Don't push me, you have no right to stay out of this now…!", he said struggling under the weight.
"What an commanding thing to say…Well, stars do live the hardest lives… Lucky for you, I am feeling especially creative today!"
As Yuki was about to put both Shizuka and Rara under the same effect, and increase the intensity slowly until they reached their limits, Rara grabbed the guitar strapped to her back, and played it in one elegant motion. The moment her fingers touched the guitar strings, Yuki created a barrier around herself and Yamato. Luckily, she was standing closer to the heroes, so the nearly instantaneous effect reached her just in time to assess the danger coming from the attack. Though she herself was not unbothered, and flew multiple meters away from where she was standing, only casting a barrier behind her to make sure nothing would slip through from where she was already hit. The sound was like a shockwave that would have killed any human standing this close, and maybe even one much futher away.
"Huh… Guess you are an angel! Cool, that means I can go all out! Brace yourselfs for a concert of true passion and artistic talent!"
"You bitch… Out of the three of you, I actually hated you the least…"
Yuki appeared bebind her, ready to kill her right away, but Tokio blocked the hand reaching for Rara's neck. Now confronted with the grip strength of a true angel, Tokio's armor bent and cracked, but the bones beneath did not shatter. As Yamato watched the exchange unfold, he met eyes with Shizuka, who seized the opportunity to draw a knife and charge at him. While he was about to deal with it himself, Yuki hit her with some form of invisible projectile, which seemed somewhat like an invisible car hitting into Shizuka's side and throwing her far away on the ground, where she gasped for air and held onto where she had been hit. Meanwhile Rara was about to play another note, but no sound came out of her guitar. As she opened her mouth to complain, no sound came out either. Yuki had cast an anti-sound barrier, and was still overpowering Tokio, who despite taking no damage, was forced onto his knees.
Just as Yuki was feeling comfortable in disposing of them all at once, Rara's lips pressed against her cheek, which for one disgusted Yuki immensely. But it also allowed for Rara to hum, and bypass the requisite of sound for the transfer of sound, though be if ever so inefficiently. Apparently, it was not just the guitar that she could use, but her voice as well. One could have guessed that at reading the title "Star Idol", with idols being primarily known for singing. Yuki, who was hit by the vibrations transferred between their skins, was feeling much weaker than before, and then got send flying by Tokio head butting her, which had much more force than she would have thought. Unfortunately, Rara immediately used this moment to change positions and now be outside of Yuki's anti-sound barrier. However, she was able to cover herself in an a barrier, preventing the sound from reaching her just as effectively. As she was about to give the same barrier to Yamato, she and everyone else noticed that he was gone. Though he was quickly spotted standing where Shizuka was lying, but there was another figure in between them. Feeling a bit pressured, Yuki pulled Rara up in the air with a similar force like the one that rammed Shizuka earlier. Though now a bit less powerful due to the irritating effect Rara put her under. As Rara and Tokio were close enough together, trapped them both in the Cage of Envy, before teleporting down towards Yamato.
"Oh, there she is! I've been very excited to meeting you while you are awake, though I could make due with another sight of your sleeping face too~…"
The woman with the soothing sounding voice and silvery pinkish hair seemed to fit a description Yamato gave her of one of the other sins, as well as someone Amael had fought and allegedly killed during the battle of Vancia, though that now appeared untrue.
"I can tell by the look on your face that you fee hostility toward me, but no wonder, since I haven't even introduced myself yet~… I remember Yama-boy over here valued that kind of etiquette! My name is Cinderella Paula, and I am the Lust~"
Yuki's piercing gaze wandered over to Shizuka still lying on the ground. While she appeared to have been injured by her previous attack, she was merely unconscious and not actively dying, which was a shame, she thought.
"Such dangerous eyes, even more so than Yama-boy had back then! You really do look just delicious, anyone ever tell you that?"
"What are you even doing here in the first place? And what do you gain from protecting these people? I doubt you know each other for long if at all.", Yamato asked.
"Oh, all so curious… But I can't help but notice how I'm being ignored by your little girlfriend, even though I went through all this trouble!"
"If you don't tell us what you want, how can we resolve this situation?"
"Resolve this situation? Is there something to resolve? Why, this is just three fellow friends chatting!"
"I'm afraid the people you are protecting would disagree…"
"Hm? Would they? Hey, you, is that true? Are you a bad girl~…?"
Cinderella poked around Shizuka's unconscious face with the tip of her shoe, trying to get a reaction out of her. The tone with which she was asking was playful and sweet at first, fitting with the gentle nudge she gave with her foot. But after a few seconds, her tone shifted dramatically as she stomped on Shizuka's head before kicking her in the stomach and rolling her over onto her other side.
"Don't ignore me when I'm talking to you, I asked you a fucking question you lazy meat bag!"
As she unsurprisingly did not get a response from that either, she turned back to Yamato and Yuki, with renewed sweetness and enthusiasm.
"Hm… Looks like she won't give you any more trouble! Now we can continue our friendly chat~…"
"I'm afraid it's not just her."
"Really? Who else might be troubling you? I'm not seeing anyone else here. Besides that woman all the way iver there killing these elves but… That doesn't seem to bother you, and she is almost done too!"
Yuki's first words to her were spoked with as little warmth as possible, as she despised the idea of a woman embodying the concept of Lust being next to or even on the same side as Yamato, making their relationship destined to be enemies.
"What makes you assume we are friends in the first place? Why don't you go lust around somewhere else and get lost?"
"Ooh, you are exactly like I imagined you to be! You must be full of love, I wouldn't have it any other way! How else could you embody the most extreme form of envy~?"
"Judging by the way you carry yourself and listening to you talk for the past couple of minutes, I'd say you don't know the first thing about love."
"Well, compared to a professional such as yourself, that might just be correct… Which is why I want to get to know you all the more!"
"Keep dreaming, slut…"
Appearing behind her and whispering into Yuki's ear while resting her head on Yuki's shoulder, her soothing voice along with the act itself felt offensive to Yuki, the only reason she had not attacked yet being that she was still tired from Rara's weird attack, as well as how close Yamato was and the dangers that came wirh his proximity to the scene.
"Hurtful yet again… But it's okay~ Because I love the both of you, especially you my delicious little snack… So don't you worry about your words hurting me. Because the next time we meet, I'm sure we will be encapsulated by each other's love to the fullest extent… Looking forward to it, mwah~!"
Blowing a kiss right into Yuki's ear, Cinderella exploded the very next moment as Yuki's patience ran our, blood spilling all over the floor while she herself and Yamato were shielded, leaving bloodless shadow like silhouettes on the ground. The three heroes were all simultaneously teleported away. Yuki also located another person a bit further away teleporting away, which she assumed to have been Cinderella's true location all along.
