Chapter 5716 - Chapter 740: X Royal Family: Fierce Battle (7)

"Mr. Stark, Mr. Stark!"

When Stark opened his eyes, he saw a red figure flashing before him. Startled, he jumped back and breathed a sigh of relief upon realizing it was Spider Man, saying with a bit of complaint, "Peter, what are you doing!"

"Uh, sorry, sir, I'm not the Peter from your universe, I'm from this universe." Spider Man pointed to the ground.

"Alright, that's not important; you're all my good Peter." Stark turned over and sat up, removed his sleep cap, tidied his hair, and asked, "Why did you come over?"

"The Main Universe Spider Man brought me over." said the local Spider Man.

"Did the Mutants agree?"

"They initially didn't allow members of The Avengers to enter Clarkia, but when they heard it was Spider Man, they let me through." The local Spider Man said, "I'm here to discuss something with you."

"What's the matter?" Stark asked.

"It's about the Red Orchid Factory." The local Spider Man hesitated for a moment, seemingly a bit embarrassed, he said, "I think this factory is inappropriate for anyone except you."

"Me?" Stark was a bit puzzled, "What do I need that factory for?"

"Of course, I know the technology level in the Central Universe is very high; you don't need the factory's technology. But if it falls into someone else's hands, it could really start a world war. Only if you have the factory, they wouldn't dare act rashly."

Spider Man gestured to explain, and Stark understood his point. He had made an appearance on Earth, showcasing unparalleled technological prowess, significantly superior to anyone on this Earth and the Prime Universe, able to defeat them effortlessly. If he took over the factory, it could indeed bring temporary peace.

Stark shook his head, saying, "I won't do that."

"Why?" The local Spider Man asked somewhat confusedly, "Aren't you here to help as well? As long as you take over the factory, our Earth, the Prime Universe Avengers, and the Mutants won't have to fight."

"You're too naive, Peter. Sit down, let's talk slowly." Stark pointed to the chair next to them and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

"Not yet," the local Spider Man shook his head, "I came over early in the morning; I was afraid something might happen if I was late."

Stark glanced at his watch; it wasn't breakfast time yet, so he said to the local Spider Man, "Let's go to the cafeteria together and talk while we eat."

The local Spider Man didn't refuse; they went out together. Clarkia had beautiful scenery, and the local Spider Man kept taking pictures with his phone. A few Mutants saw him taking pictures and wanted to dissuade him, but upon seeing it was Spider Man, they gave up, pretending not to notice.

"The Mutants really trust you." Stark said, "Even though you two sides are enemies right now."

"I'm not enemies with the Mutants," Spider Man said, "I've never discriminated against Mutants and have helped the X-Men. I'm supportive of them founding a nation. One of my main goals this time is to buy a Clarkia Flower to take back for Aunt May."

Stark nodded, saying, "Indeed, Spider Man is not an enemy to anyone; everyone trusts you."

The local Spider Man smiled at him.

They arrived at the cafeteria, each ordered a meal. Stark sipped his coffee and said, "You think that as long as I'm strong enough, once I take the factory, no one would dare speak against it, but in reality, this is still using authoritarianism to solve the problem. It seems like achieving superficial peace, but it's all temporary."

"I can't stay in your universe forever; I will always have to go back. And when I leave, no matter to whom I hand over this thing, it will cause controversy, and there may be a war over it."

"Can't you set it to automatic mode?"

"Have you seen any mechanical equipment set to automatic mode that didn't rebel?" Stark clearly knew their tendencies, "The current Nimrod Level Sentinel Robots may only target Mutants, but if they rebel, they might attack the entire Earth."

The local Spider Man sighed deeply, thought for a moment, and said, "Then can't we remove this thing? Take it to your universe?"

"It's too massive." Stark said, "I don't deny I indeed have information transmission technology, but it also depends on the scale. I can't teleport a planetary-scale device, and rashly starting it may be dangerous."

Seeing the local Spider Man a bit disappointed, Stark continued to explain, "We don't solve problems through authoritarianism because it can't solve the fundamental problem. What do you think the core issue of this matter is?"

The local Spider Man looked at him, waiting for his continuation. Stark had no choice but to continue, "The Earth government, The Avengers, and the Mutants are full of irreconcilable conflicts; they have hardly any common interests and are filled with competitiveness, making such a state unsustainable."

"But is the only solution war?" the local Spider Man was unwilling, "Is fighting and obliterating several forces the only way to gain peace?"

Stark shook his head, saying, "War can't solve the fundamental problem either; it's just that after a war, everyone is too exhausted to fight again, not reconciling, but ceasing."

"So what should we do? How did the Central Universe manage it?"

"That's a long story," Stark said.

Just then, a figure sat down next to the bar. Stark turned his head and saw it was Shiller. He said to Spider-Man, "Here's the solution."

"Oh, Doctor." The local Spider-Man had evidently met Shiller before. He said, "Have you finished the medical report? When I was helping you out before, I noticed you were always working on it..."

"Not yet." Shiller sighed, requested a glass of juice, and started drinking. Then he said, "The mutants are already preparing for the hatching plan of the Clarkian Totem. I have to head over soon."

"Mr. Stark said you have a way to solve the problems in our universe." Spider-Man looked at Stark.

"What I mean is, he is the solution himself," Stark explained, "but it's best not to use it in your universe."

The local Spider-Man was a bit confused. He hadn't been to Battleworld often and had never heard of Shiller's renowned reputation. Stark continued, "But you don't have to worry too much, Shiller will come up with something."

Not getting the answer he wanted, the local Spider-Man felt a bit dejected, but he also knew he shouldn't push it. After he left, Stark said to Shiller, "How's the mutants' resurrection plan going?"

"It's nearly successful," Shiller nodded and replied, "Do you want to come over and take a look?"

"I'd rather not." Stark thought for a moment and said, "I have to study the data Dr. Greger provided, which focuses on technology that may come from an alien civilization. It might come in handy later."

After breakfast, Stark went to the anti-gravity laboratory while Shiller headed to the Clarkian Totem. It was an awe-inspiring gigantic totem, hidden amidst lush forests, its features resembling a benevolent elder.

As Sebastian had introduced at the United Nations General Assembly, the entire Clarkia Island was alive. Though not technically a mutant, it was certainly a kind of intelligent life with wisdom.

The reason humans couldn't control this island was that they couldn't communicate with the Clarkian Totem, whereas mutants could. Among the mutants, there was one called "Decoder," who could understand any language in the world, including the very ancient language used by the Clarkian Totem.

By communicating with Decoder and the Clarkian Totem, they succeeded in getting the Clarkian Totem to allow mutants to operate on it, thereby giving mutants complete control over the island. Other lives, without permission from the totem, struggle to stay long on the island.

The Totem Revival Plan also relied on the Clarkian Totem. They needed to inject genes preserved from Mister Sinister into the Clarkian Totem to hatch a body without consciousness and then insert thoughts into it.

The process seemed simple, but implementing it was not easy. Just injecting genes alone required Decoder and Moira to communicate with the totem for a long time. They had to ensure the totem understood they wanted a person, not some large tree or vines. Furthermore, the hatched body needed an X Gene to retain their mutant abilities and finally allow the body and soul to merge. In short, after a long study, they had just barely completed it.

When Shiller arrived, Professor X, Magneto, Moira, and Dr. Greger were already there. Dr. Greger took out something that looked a bit like a hard drive, hexagonal and made of crystal. She handed it over and said, "This is the flash I mentioned, which can be used for consciousness transfer. But a person's consciousness can only be made into one flash, it can't be backed up, but consciousness can be transferred between different flashes."

"Earlier today, when I touched this empty flash, it automatically connected to another flash, and it turned out to contain my husband's consciousness. I've now transferred him into this one. Please check it, Professor."

Dr. Greger was obviously eager to see her husband, but she did not state it explicitly. Professor X took the flash, and as soon as he got it in his hand, he sensed that it seemed to be made of a non-Earth material, but he did not comment further and began to cover it with his brainwaves.

The time took much longer than expected, so long that Dr. Greger's complexion became a bit off. Judging from Professor X's increasingly serious expression, Magneto also realized something was probably wrong.

"Let's discuss this in my mental realm," Professor X directly pulled several people's brainwaves into his psychic battlefield. Magneto was aware that unless things were extremely serious, Professor X wouldn't do such a thing.

Once inside the spirit domain, Dr. Greger saw her husband and immediately rushed over to embrace him, and Dr. Mendel also hugged her tightly, but he looked obviously very weary.

"What's going on, Ira? Is something wrong with your spirit body?"

Dr. Mendel closed his eyes forcefully, speaking mournfully, "The mutants saved me."

"What?!" Dr. Greger was a little at a loss, "Mutants? But weren't you in the system of the Red Orchid Factory..."

"The consciousness of those deceased mutants was also uploaded to the Red Orchid Factory's system. We were all being hunted down by the security system of the Mother Module. They were the ones who sent me back to the flash."

"What?!" Magneto was shocked, "The mutant consciousness?"

"Yes, it was the commando team," Dr. Mendel said. "The leader was named Scott, another one had claws on his hands and called himself Logan, and there was also a woman who wielded fire..."

"So it was really them." Magneto excitedly grabbed Dr. Mendel's arm, "How are they?"

"They are constantly being hunted by the security system of the Mother Module!" Dr. Mendel raised his voice to repeat, "Like viruses being tracked by a computer firewall. We have to rescue them!"
