The room slowly darkened. One by one, tiny stars appeared across the dome. The Milky Way slowly unfolded above them, stretching from one end of the dome to the other like a river of silver dust. Constellations shimmered into existence while distant galaxies glowed with a spectrum of violet and blue.
Then a brilliant meteor shower suddenly streaked across the artificial sky. Gasps echoed from the audience and a series of squeals and gushes filled the darkened chamber.
Bojing wished he could record the show on his phone but unfortunately, electronic devices weren't allowed inside. Not for recording anyway.
"Bojing."
He stiffened like a rock at once.
"Y-Yes…" Yuming's whisper made his breath hitch.
"I am sorry…You wanted to come here with your girlfriend, right?"
He could tell she had turned her head towards him, but his gaze remained glued to the sky above.
"T-That's okay…" he whispered quietly. "It's n-not your fault."
