I felt utterly surprised.
A thought stirred in his heart as he stepped forward to the bookshelf, looking at the few books on it.
He looked at the first book, but before he could clearly see the words on the cover, a sense of his body being torn apart surged upon mere contact with his gaze.
His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly averted his eyes, not daring to look any further.
Inwardly, he was secretly shaken:
"What kind of book is this? Just one glance gave me a feeling of my True Spirit scattering!"
Upon looking down, he noticed that his body was becoming blurry and translucent.
He quickly consumed an Elixir, which barely stabilized his form.
After a moment of hesitation, he turned towards another book.
This time he was prepared; just as he began to feel discomfort, he immediately turned his gaze away.
Not daring to look again, he took another Elixir and waited a moment before looking at the next one.
