Morning sunlight streamed through our bedroom window, rousing me from a dreamless sleep. My muscles ached pleasantly from yesterday's exertions, a reminder of accomplishments rather than failures.
"The Ravens are heading into town after breakfast," Fazio informed me as he laid out my clothes. "Your mother gave them quite a generous purse for their services."
I nodded, stretching. "Good. A day without their scrutiny will be welcome."
At breakfast, the adventurers were already discussing their plans. Niklas wanted to visit the harbor, Divo and Erika planned to explore the marketplace, and Su Ye'un merely shrugged when asked.
"I hear Sampagnanoli has excellent taverns," she said quietly. "After days in that dungeon, I need a drink."
Rosalia dabbed her mouth with a napkin. "I thought I might see what craftsmanship this island offers. Your mother mentioned something about innovative blacksmithing?"
My head snapped up. I hadn't expected this particular interest.
