[Third Person Pov]
"Are you sure you don't want to come?" Peter asked softly as he stood behind Aria, his fingers carefully tying her hair into a neat braid in front of the mirror. The afternoon light filtered through the window, casting a warm glow over the room.
"Nah, I'm going to be bored if I go with you," Aria replied dismissively, her voice carrying an easy nonchalant attitude.
"Ouch, girl. Words hurt, you know," Peter said, pulling a theatrical hurt expression—complete with wide eyes and a dramatic hand over his heart.
Aria giggled, the sound bright and infectious, before rolling her eyes. "Sorry. Plus, you already know I made plans with Mom. I'm not just going to cancel on her."
"Alright, that's fair," Peter conceded with a gentle smile. "I was just making sure." He finished the braid with a flourish, tying a cute little bow on top of her head. He stepped back to admire his work, nodding approvingly. "There. Perfect."
Once he was done, he scooped her up in his arms with ease, making her squeal with delight as he carried her downstairs. MJ was already waiting for them in the living room, looking as stylish and breathtakingly beautiful as ever, her presence lighting up the space.
The three of them said their warm goodbyes to Aunt May and Uncle Ben, exchanging promises to be safe, before heading out and piling into the car. They drove a short distance and pulled up to Felicia's place, where she was already outside, sitting languidly on the stairs. As the car approached, she popped a bubble with her gum, slowly licked her lips in a sensual manner, and shot to her feet with feline grace.
Peter stared with a flat, unimpressed expression as Felicia jumped and smoothly slid across the hood of the car to reach the other side.
"Was that even necessary?" he asked dryly as she opened the door and slipped inside.
She ignored him for a moment, leaning over to greet Aria with a playful kiss on her chubby cheeks. "I looked cool doing it, didn't I?"
"Sure," Peter replied sarcastically, "if it helps you sleep at night." He shook his head and peeled out of the driveway, the engine humming as they continued on their way.
It didn't take long to reach Gwen's place. She was waiting outside, leaning casually against the railing in a stylish windbreaker jacket that suited her perfectly.
Aria wasted no time. She pushed open the car door and jogged over to Gwen, who crouched down with a bright smile and scooped the little girl up into a warm hug.
Peter rolled down the window and stuck his arm out. "Behave yourself, Aria. Don't cause Gwen too much trouble, okay?"
"You behave," Aria shot back defensively, puffing out her cheeks and clinging tighter to Gwen. "You act out more than I do!"
"Damn, I wonder who she gets that attitude from," Peter said in mock shock, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
Gwen leaned in through the window and gave him a quick, affectionate peck on the lips before greeting the others. "Who do you think?" she responded playfully. "And I hope you realize this feels like I'm your baby mama and you're just dropping off your kid while you go gallivanting around."
Peter flashed a charming grin, lowering his sunglasses just enough to meet her eyes. "If it's any consolation, I think you'd make a wonderful baby mama."
Gwen raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained. "What would be an even better consolation is letting me use your bike for the evening." She extended her hand toward him expectantly.
"Knock yourself out—actually, I take that back. Don't knock yourself out, I'd be concerned—" Peter started, keys already in his hand, but Gwen swiftly snatched them from his fingers with a triumphant smirk.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Enjoy yourself," she said, rolling her eyes as she began walking away. She glanced over her shoulder, adding with a teasing lilt, "But not too much since I'm not there."
"Wouldn't be possible without my baby mama there," Peter called back, shooting her a wink.
Gwen smirked, clearly pleased with his response. She gave a little wave before disappearing inside the house with Aria, the door closing softly behind them.
"Maybe I should stop taking the pill…"
Both Peter and MJ twisted sharply in their seats at the same time, turning to stare at her in the back. "I'm sorry, what?" Peter asked, his voice tight with disbelief as his hands gripped the steering wheel a little tighter.
"Kidding, kidding!" Felicia said quickly, raising both hands in a defensive gesture. She paused for a dramatic beat, glancing between the two of them before a mischievous smirk tugged at her lips. "…I stopped taking it a while ago."
"I hate that I genuinely can't tell if you're joking or not…" Peter muttered stiffly, facing, eyes flicking to the rearview mirror as he drove out.
Felicia started chuckling, the sound low and mischievously playful. "I was obviously joking. I'm still way too young to be prego. I ain't ready to be your other baby mama just yet."
"Girl, you're about to give me a heart attack," Peter groaned, dramatically clutching his chest with one hand while keeping the other on the wheel. That earned genuine giggles from both MJ and Felicia, the tension in the car easing as he drove on.
"Alright, I feel like this calls for a heart-to-heart serious discussion," Felicia announced, scooting forward in the middle seat and leaning between the front seats toward Peter.
"Oh god…" Peter muttered apprehensively.
"What, you don't want to?" Felicia arched a perfectly shaped brow, challenging him.
"Sorry, that was reflexive," Peter said, shooting her an apologetic glance. "It's not that I don't want to. I just wasn't expecting it."
Felicia nodded in understanding. She leaned closer, studying his profile as the city lights flickered across the windshield. "So… when you heard I wasn't on the pill, how did that make you feel?"
"I thought this was a serious discussion, not a therapy session," Peter replied sarcastically. But Felicia kept looking at him expectantly, refusing to let it slide. He side-eyed her, sighed, and finally answered. "If you were serious… I would've been upset."
Both Felicia and MJ looked intrigued, leaning in a little more. "Why?" Felicia pressed gently.
"Isn't it obvious?" Peter answered sincerely, his voice steady despite the weight of the topic. "Because you went and did something that could forever change all of our lives. It would've been something that needed to be discussed between all of us first."
Felicia nodded along, her sharp gaze analytical as she absorbed every word. "Would you have been upset if I ended up genuinely pregnant?"
"Obviously not," Peter said without hesitation. "I would've probably been ecstatic—absolutely terrified, sure—but no doubt ecstatic. Again, I would've been more upset that you went and did this behind our backs without asking for our opinions or feelings on the matter… or even wondering if we were all ready for such a heavy commitment." His fingers tapped rhythmically on the steering wheel, a subtle sign of the depth behind his calm tone.
MJ smiled softly in the passenger seat, quietly noticing how naturally Peter kept saying "our," instinctively including her and Gwen in the equation.
"Having kids is too big of a responsibility for us right now," Peter continued, eyes on the road but clearly engaged. "Not to mention, like you said, we're still young. Very young, in fact. There will come a day when we'll all come together and discuss the possibility of having children… but that time just isn't right now."
"Hmm… How very mature of you," Felicia grinned, reaching forward to poke his cheek tenderly with a finger.
"And when the time comes," MJ joined in, turning to look at Peter with open curiosity, "how many children do you want to have?"
"At the end of the day, that question depends on you all, doesn't it?" Peter answered with a warm smile. Then a teasing grin spread across his face. "I'm willing to have as many as you're willing to dish out."
Both women playfully smacked his arm, rolling their eyes in unison while laughing.
Their serious-yet-lighthearted discussion carried them through the rest of the road trip, weaving between playful jabs and genuine reflections. The conversation only tapered off as they finally reached their destination, the playful energy shifting into anticipation.
Ahead of them rose the towering, gleaming building of Stark Industries. It was time for Tony Stark's press conference, and the day was only just beginning.
