After a few minutes of simply eating quietly, the pope paused and finally spoke his mind. He asked, "Did everything go well with you two? My grandson's constitution isn't that strong. You should have noticed that by now."
Surprisingly, instead of just asking his grandson a simple question of "How are you feeling?", the question was directed to me instead. As if understanding that the question is indirectly for him, Clarence answered almost immediately, "I am fine. Everything was blissful and amazing. It can't be any better than it was. I did not know that being married would be this satisfying."
Clarence's voice was quite loud, enough for the people from the surrounding tables to hear. Most of the priests around us choked on their food and some have obviously flushed faces from my husbands very direct answer.
