I decided to pay him back today so I was very attentive when it came to Jay's fiance. As I was sitting next to her we engaged in cheerful conversation about literature, famous painters and music. Her taste wasn't very refined but she was quite knowledgeable and was easy to talk to.
During the meal we often laughed, moderately but still loud enough for Tod to hear.
"It seems my dear Allena and Kian have a lot in common." Jay finally remarked.
"Yes, conversation with this young lady is very entertaining. You are a lucky man." I decided to be very polite and maybe a bit flirty. The twins' mother, Lady Wermonth, was watching me carefully as well as Tod who was sitting with a gloomy expression.
"I see things don't change or are you always capable of making Wermonths' men go crazy?" She suddenly asked out of the blue. The room went silent and I looked at her, not losing my composure.
"Lady Wermonth, I hope I can charm both men and women." I smiled back at her. She had every reason to hate me, I knew that much and I understood her feelings. After all, I was her husband's ex- lover and her son was obsessed with me too. Yet we were in company and she should keep her manners.
"You sure are capable of doing that, right Allena?" Jay broke the awkward moment.
Allena was confused for a moment but then agreed and added.
"Mr Kian, it's a pleasure talking to you."
After that the evening continued but I forced myself to be chatty. It was quite late when I finally decided to walk back to my room. On my way back I stopped to catch some fresh air. I drank some wine and I felt a bit hot. I was standing outside leaning against the curtain wall and looking at the sky. There were no clouds and the sky was full of stars. I was taking deep breaths and enjoyed the feeling of chilly air when I heard some steps.I looked to the side. It was dark but it looked like Tod was heading my way. Right now he will scold me for the whole evening because I was way too attentive to his brother's fiance. I had a feeling it might be like that.
I sighted.
I didn't manage to say anything when he suddenly grabbed my head and pressed his lips against mine. I was too surprised to do anything but open my mouth and let him invade it with his tongue. Jay smiled brightly.

I wanted to slap his face but he caught my arm.
"Watch out Kian, I'm not Tod. I like obedience."
I pulled my hand out of his grip. I was too shaken to react so I decided to leave.
After a few steps I turned around.
I will tell Tod about everything, you will lose your brother." I hissed.
"No, I won't. Tod and I are more than just brothers. We are one soul in two bodies. Go ahead and tell him. We will see who will be sorry." He laughed quietly and I went back to my room shaking from anger and humiliation. Jay reminded me of his own father in a very bad way.
