Chapter 119 - Festival

As the preparations for the celebration buzzed around him, Ika wandered through the familiar streets of the rebuilt island, his heart light with excitement. The vibrant colors of the decorations and the laughter of townsfolk filled the air, completely opposite to the chaos of the war against the Ikati that happened the last time he was here. but his curiosity led him down a narrow alleyway he had never noticed before. There, nestled between two bustling shops, was a quaint store with a sign that read, "Transformative Treasures."

"Hello?" Pushing open the wooden door, Ika was immediately enveloped by the warm scent of herbs and the soft glow of hanging lanterns. The walls were lined with shelves filled with peculiar trinkets, shimmering stones, and odd-looking gadgets. A faint hum of energy thrummed in the air, making his skin tingle with anticipation.

"..Hello…?" Behind the counter stood a middle-aged woman with bright green eyes and silver hair that cascaded down her back. She wore a long, flowing robe adorned with symbols of transformation.

"Welcome, young one!" she greeted, her voice warm and inviting.

"What brings you to my humble shop?"

"I… I'm looking for something that can help with my transformation," Ika admitted, feeling slightly shy as he fidgeted with the hem of his shirt.

"I have this ability to shift between my human form and a massive Komodo dragon, but I want to learn more about it. Is there anything you could recommend?" The shop owner's eyes sparkled with intrigue.

"Ah, a Mantra ability! How fascinating. Each transformation carries its own strengths and challenges. Tell me, what do you wish to achieve with your ability?" Ika thought for a moment, his brow furrowing.

"I want to be able to control my transformations better and maybe even enhance my strength in my full form. I've heard there are tools that can help with that."

"Indeed, there are," she said, nodding knowingly.

"Let me show you some items that might interest you." She led Ika to a shelf filled with various objects.

"This here is a Shifting Stone. When held during a transformation, it can help stabilize your form, allowing for smoother transitions… And over here," she gestured to a beautifully crafted bracelet,

"is the Draconic Band… from the land of Dragons… Netharia... It enhances the physical strength of your full form, but it requires a bond between you and the item. You'll need to wear it for a while to establish that connection." Ika's eyes widened with excitement as he picked up the Shifting Stone, feeling its cool surface against his palm.

"How do I bond with the Draconic Band?" he asked eagerly.

"It's quite simple," the woman explained.

"Wear it during your transformations and meditate on your connection to your dragon self. Over time, you'll find it amplifies your abilities. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility. The more strength you gain, the more control you must maintain." Ika nodded, absorbing her words.

"Thank you! I think I'll take both of these."

Cani walked through the familiar streets of the island, her heart racing with anticipation. People waved and shouted their hello's. After everything the crew had been through, the thought of a new vessel brought a wave of hope. Especially after their last attempt was destroyed by Ikati. As she approached the large Shipbuilders' Association Headquarters building, the salty breeze carried the sounds of hammers and saws, the steady rhythm of craftsmanship that had been a constant in her life. Upon entering, she was greeted by a friendly face.

"Flame Princess: Cani! It's great to see you!" called out Old Man Greeves, the head shipbuilder, wiping his hands on his apron.

"You've come at the perfect time. We've just started your new ship!" Cani's eyes widened.

"My ship? You mean the new vessel?"

"Absolutely! Follow me!" He led her through the bustling workshop, past artisans shaping wood and metal, to a large open dock where the new under construction vessel awaited her.

As they stepped outside, Cani's breath caught in her throat. Before her stood a magnificent ship, its sleek lines and sturdy frame a testament to the skill of the builders. It was still in progress, the masts were being lifted into place, windows were being installed and much more happening at once.

"Now… we need to decide on a name for your new vessel to paint on it for the final touch when we get there," Cani smiles. "I'm thinking about calling it-"
