A dark shadow of a wild, four-legged creature darted through the blizzard, dodging obstacles as it ran. Just as it reached the center of the storm, a light shone from behind. As the wolf approached, it saw a sunken patch of land, and in its center, a glowing object firmly embedded.
The wolf snarled and howled, then lunged towards the object. The closer it got, the more violent the waves became, threatening to hurl any creature that came near. However, the wolf pressed forward without stopping, leaping whenever a magical wave struck. Upon reaching the object, the wolf transformed back into its human form.
Vise stood up, gazing at the terrifyingly cold force emanating from the object before him. He touched the axe handle, and his hand instantly froze. He recoiled in shock. His hands froze instantly, followed by a numbing sensation, as if thousands of needles were piercing them.
