When the alarm clock on the table rang, Olivia Parker finally opened her eyes.
Her eyes were still a bit sore, and her body felt as if the bones were removed, soft and powerless, but she still forced herself to open her eyes and reached out for the phone, only for a large hand to beat her to it and turn off the alarm.
Reaching out to pull her arm back under the covers, Kasper Edith's arm around her waist tightened slightly, and he buried his face back into her hair.
"Go back to sleep."
"No, I have to go to the hospital today." Olivia reached for her phone and glanced at the time, then sat up with the blanket, "You sleep, I can get up myself."
She had already taken two days off this week, and not going to work today would really be pushing it.
Kasper sat up, pulling the blanket over her shoulders.
"How about I arrange for you to go abroad for some advanced training, take a break for a while?"
