Chapter 10 - CHAPTER - 10 (The Wildcard’s Way)

I am tied up in the dungeon, completely helpless. The worst case is the man standing before me with a flaming demeanor in his eyes and questions in his mind.

Who are you and Who sent you? Zypher said while pointing a sword at my neck, ready to take my life at the single lie, It's as if I'm a rabbit caught in a snare, with no escape in sight. for one wrong move could be my downfall.

"How I came into this situation started this late morning as I don't remember the time accurately."

Two figures fall like the comets on the Guild team's tent in the dungeon ground where they are waiting; one is their guild leader, and the other is their prospect.

A misunderstanding erupted among the Guild crew following the crash landing of two persons identified as the guild leader and a new hopeful healer.

After trying to clarify the misunderstandings, Zypher yelled for everyone to leave and announced that he would himself conduct the test. However, instead of resolving the misunderstanding, his actions inflamed it.

In a dash, Zypher holds my wrist with his hand and follows me into the dungeon.

The increase in mana density sends shivers down my spine.

YOU ENTER A B-RANK DUNGEON.

RETREAT RECOMMENDATION

Wow, I realize as I glance at the system's warning message, Is it a security or something similar? I pondered.

I gaze at Zypher, who is patiently waiting for me to stabilize.

Don't be too concerned, GuildMaster. I said with a confident look on my face.

Looking ahead, we saw a region with grasses and trees but more wetlands than we could count. It is a swamp woodland.

It is the worst region of all the dungeons I ever enter even though it is my first legal dungeon raid.

Survive and do your best to stick with me and fulfill your responsibility as a healer. Zypher gave me instructions in a very different tone than a second earlier.

I asked Zypher if it was the test.

Yes, and don't expect me to be lenient; the healer may be rare, but we can't risk our team's lives on anyone, so having a healer in the group may be a tremendous asset or a major liability, Zypher stated.

As we proceed farther into the forest, fog begins to emerge, and as the depth of the fog increases, I detect 5 figures approaching us; they are not humans; I can feel the pointed legs; they are spiders and large ones on top of that.

I take the sword from my inventory, but Zypher turns and destroys it with a swing.

What are you doing? I yelled at the Zypher.

Same question for you: what are you doing? You are not a warrior; you are a healer, therefore act like one. Zypher spoke calmly, yet it appeared that he was criticizing and teaching me simultaneously.

But we don't have time for that. As the monsters approached, I tried to reason.

"Just do your work as a healer" Zypher didn't even pay attention to what I was saying, and I didn't want to say anything else and just utilize my skill.

YOU HAVE USE SKILL PRIEST GRACE

INCREASE THE TARGET STATS BY 10%

Monsters are on their way. I try to warn him by telling the Zypher.

What kind of monster? Zypher responded

Monsters are. I went silent since their presence was gone; they were slain by Zypher, yet he didn't even make any movement.

How long have you known me? My voice shakes, but I ask firmly.

Zypher responded, "When we enter the entire dungeon is in my perception."

So this is S rank, nothing has been done to differ from his prediction.

This may seem strange to some, but S- -ranks have exceeded the limit of hunters and cannot be measured with common sense.

Zypher began moving forward without incident, and I kept following him to maintain the Buff effect on him, not because he needed it, but to test my limits and prove myself as an asset, not a liability.

After some time we reach the boss's gate.

Wow, I grasp as I gaze at the gorgeous door that is truly stunning. This item has the power to stop a C-Rank hunter from ever trying to open it.

Isn't it beautiful, Zypher exclaimed.

Zypher hasn't said a single word the entire journey and up to this point, but now he speaks. It's not anything he says where we are now, but he speaks gently.

Yes, it is just stunning, I said.

Keep your distance, don't fight, simply keep avoiding the monster. Zypher instructed as he opened the door.

I nodded and entered the door following Zypher.

As I walked into the enormous hall, I was struck by its blackness and gloominess. The broken pillars strewn across the hall added to the ominous decor. Despite the enormous size of the hall, no one could be seen, and the stillness was suffocating.

But what struck me was the voice from the upward.

How could I forget that spiders normally lay high as I dodge the spider's attack from above, but even if I was attacked, Zypher did nothing, so that's what he meant by evading enemies.

I took a glance toward the above monster web to check on their status.

Looking at their status alone demonstrates the gap between me and them. I can't evade the next attack because the gap in status is so great, and there were five of them, but where is the Boss Monster?

I begin to shake as an earthquake erupts, although there is no way an earthquake could occur in the dungeon, which is in a different dimension.

The ground shook as a massive spider erupted from the earth's depths, easily smashing through the marble floor. The spider had long, hairy legs, and its eyes glinted menacingly in the faint light. The spider let out a piercing screech as it crawled out from the ground, echoing throughout the vast distance. The broken marble was all over the spider, and the air was dense with dust and debris. The spider looked around, its eyes searching for signs of life.

I examined the enormous Spider's state; it does eat mana if we forcefully take a look at the higher level, but it is worthwhile.

Domination the spider queen skill causes my body to feel heavy, as if my bones are melting.

To save myself from falling, I draw the LUNAR VALKYRIE SWORD from my inventory.

Zypher, who had remained still until now, unlocked his weapon and walked toward the Spider Queen, his sword wrapped in black flame.

When I glance around, I see the bodies of the Spider mothers.

When... I exclaimed.

I was stunned because Zypher had already murdered them without my knowing who was battling them or fleeing from them.

As my wrath rose on my weakness, I clenched my fist.

I need more power than I have and more than they (the association) have, even if it means selling my soul to the devil. I will save her whatever it takes even if I die in the process.

I take a glimpse at Zypher, who is approaching the spider queen without flinching.

I need the beauty of strength that he possesses.

Zypher has not taken action in front of me, or should I say that I cannot observe his action; this is the first time I have seen him make a move up till now.

 SOUL AURA ......

Zypher's voice exudes a gloomy and foreboding vibe.

The seemingly invincible boss is reduced to dust in a single swipe, with no resistance.

As Zypher destroys the boss monster with a single strike, the room falls silent.

In this dungeon, he is a wildcard, and he follows his Wildcard's Way.

Tanya, Zypher called me

Yes, I answer

Good work, Zypher said but his action did not match his words

He punches in my guts,

You son of a .. as I lost conciseness without completing my last sentence

AND SO THAT'S HOW I GET IN THIS SITUATION AND WITHOUT A SINGLE IDEA OF WHY IT IS HAPPENING AND WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN
