Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 - A lonely Buddha…

[the end once more]

The land crushed, the sea broken and made ash, on a cliff overlooking the upper world, so vast in its never ending depths of once beautiful light, the air shaking and flowing as it stuck in place.

There stood someone, there dark black hair blowing along with their robe, hanging from there shoulders as there eyes glowed with a gold that melted mountains as if they did not exist, their hand lifted, as the sun fell into it and with a palm that gripped, sent shockwaves across the endless sea of stars. Only to stop, their breathing became a little more intense, and they were able to see each of them in rhythm. They were able to hear each sound of life that sang within this broken upper world, and they could hear the sound of their own laughter they didn't know came out.

"For lifetimes I have waited, waiting for what I could not have, wanting to be free of this, of this deal, of this power, to fade… but with all I have, I can not dieeee!" The beings voice made the air freeze and break, then reconstruct itself as if it was a wound that healed.

"Hundreds of life times within the blink of an eye, but I remember… all of them.. you.. did you.. did you know, I became.. Buddha once?.. and many times after.." there eyes drifting to the massive cracks and broken earth behind them, looking at 7 beautiful women, some lost, others hurt, and some even dying. His eyes looking at men that held his nephew, the other reason he was apart of this to begin with and he was so happy.

"That one you hold was not the key, he was just another broken vessel, another failure, that did nothing.. but set me back.. isn't that right Gu changee? Or, whatever is left of that boy." his voice and smile made the ones who looked at him scared, never, in this war had they seen a smile, never had they heard him talk so much, or even about this, something they did not know about.

"You are right uncle, maybe I should have listened, we are both from that place… but I was never the one you were looking for.. never the one who could complete this task… it's almost like you were just trying to get a better deal.." Gu changee spat up blood, his body glowing with purple light as he looked at his uncle with pain, fear, love and hate.

"How many of me have you seen? From our world? That failed?" He spit blood at the man, and yelled out. With each passing moment, his anger grew, "why did you let this happen? Knowing that greed would take me and break what we wanted to be!" His head low as he couldn't understand, if he knew he would have changed, but this being in front of him, never told him no, or tried to stop him from this fate.

"Were you not listening to my hints? Or, you just didn't care? I am your backer, the villain behind the villain, your greatest support and threat, but I can not dip my hands in what your mission is, to kill these so called protagonists, that is for you to do, anything else I have always handled, why do you think you are in this mess?" The man turned and looked at the boy, his eyes shined as he spoke, his mouth speaking words slowly, and without care, because he could not change what was going to happen, only guide it.

"Yet you still did not care, wanting for greed, lust and much more. Because you thought yourself above it all, with what little power you had.." the man sighed his eyes looking back out over the cliff as he spoke his last words faintly.

The world was full of secrets and sound, across this world of broken empires and dynasty, the man could hear it all, the sounds of another broken world coming to a end. His hair breaking free from the golden holder on his head as it flowed wildly with each kick of the wind, his foot stepping lightly as a part of the mountain broke off and fell into the valley below.

Then time actually froze, no sound, wind, or even the thoughts that once were so powerful. The nothingness seemed to give the man calm, his world finally silent for once, yes he cut off his power, but his presence alone invited the pain of those around him, love, greed, regret, pain, fear, amd more were always just a thought away. This was the silents he had wanted, the only thing that gave him peace in these lives no one knew he lived, his eyes looking up into the sky, far above, as he spoke.

"So you have come, not to late, not to early.. just as always.. only when I make a mistake." His voice was not fearful, not even caring for the slightest, not a hint of anything within his eyes as he spoke again.

The thunder in the heavens rolled and shot down with the force of thousands of worlds, but the man just lifted his hand, and the thunder above seemed to understand, it fell gently into his hand as If a baby, rubbing its world ending power along his pale skin. The man showed it care for a moment, then crushed it, like a baby crushing a old toy, his eyes looked up as he could care less about the thing that once killed him many times.

"You have broken our deal…" a voice came from everywhere and nowhere all at once, his presence felt but not truly, only a touch or soft push that seemed close and light years away.

"I know, why else would you be here.. do you think me stupid? Or that these lives would get to me?" The man let out a laugh, walking over to a stone that felt like a great spot for a nap, his body leaning back on it as he smiled,

"Another life, and another failure.. yet here you are, still the same." The being let out a sigh, it's voice paused as it spoke once more. "Go back and do it again, hopefully this time.." the beings voice cracked the world into fragments of nothing, but was cut off while it spoke.

"Enough.. this world is done, and so are they.." the man said, the world answering his call as the fragmented space became whole for a moment, his eyes of nothing looking over the 7 women with love, with pain, and lost time. "Let us begin, and maybe this time.. the.. the one.. the one I'm looking for will be there.." the man said woth a strange voice, as if the will he has was starting to fade, sitting up, cross legged, in a pose of his own making, then, his eyes flashed with golden light, which seemed to break down everything to its core, even himself.

The world, space and time once again became nothing, no world, no dreams, no matter, and with that, the cycle continued. Only for the last spark of this world to scream out, with a voice, far older then time and space and everything in between.

"…" with a sigh, the spark becomes nothing, and the being waited, "this world, or deal, I did not want it to be so.." with another broken sound it spoke, even more sad then before.

"But you are not one to give up are you.. everything to fade you said…" the beings voice faded in and out of reality as if nothing was just a thought to it.

"Oh.. broken Buddha.."
