Chapter 9 - The Inheritance of Blood (Flashback)

The screen dissolves into the violent, rain-swept night three years ago.

We see a younger Athira in her police academy dormitory. She isn't studying law; she is staring at a set of dusty, yellowed property deeds.

She had spent months digging through the archives of her "accidental" parents' death. The truth was written in the margins: Druvi's parents had orchestrated the crash to consolidate the ancestral land. Every "kind" word, every meal, and every cent of her tuition had been paid for with her own stolen bloodline.

The Night of the Murder:

Athira didn't go to the bungalow to talk. She went to execute.

She stood in the shadows of the garden, watching through the window. She saw Druvi arguing with her parents—Druvi was desperate to be with Sreenu, and her parents were blocking her. Athira watched with a ghost of a smile as Druvi's parents died in a "tragic" accident she had subtly set in motion days prior.

She let Druvi believe it was her own fault. She let Druvi carry the guilt.

But that night, inside the bungalow, Druvi found a piece of evidence—a note Athira had left behind. Druvi realized that her "sister" was the one who had truly pulled the strings.

"You killed them," Druvi gasped, backing away from Athira. "You used my hatred for them to hide your own."

"I didn't kill them, Druvi," Athira replied, her voice as sharp as a blade. "I just balanced the books."

When Druvi reached for the phone, Athira moved. She didn't use a gun. She grabbed a heavy, silver pen from the desk—a gift from the academy—and struck. It was a single, lethal blow to the carotid.
