Rusuf stayed on the phone while Gerald headed over to the Demon to get him situated and moved to the cell. He led Ty to a chair and handed him a glass of water.
"Here, you can drink this while you wait. It's not much," Gerald said, offering what comfort the prison room had.
"Thanks. Better than nothing," Ty said, taking the cup.
He sat with it for a while and watched the room and the few comforts it offered.
After a few moments, two masked women in blue overcoats entered. They brought in a stretcher and quietly took the dead body away before moving further down another corridor, collecting two more bodies.
The room quieted around them. Every careful movement made the deaths feel less like rumor and more like fact.
