The crisp and urgent sound of high heels echoed through the corridor.

The tall, dark wooden door was forcefully pushed open, and a witch in a red robe strode into the spacious and dimly lit office, fixing her gaze intently on the elder wizard sitting behind the enormous desk at the room's end; she paid no heed to the greed in the slightly moving eyeballs of the magic beast stone sculptures on either side of the passage, nor the restless aura they emitted.
The office's owner quietly glanced at the impolite female senator.
Then turned his gaze to the previous guest at the foot of the staircase.
"—That's it, just investigate and handle it according to the 'Regulations'."
"Yes."
The grey robe wizard at the foot of the steps respectfully agreed, bowed his head, and quietly and quickly retreated out of the room, not even glancing at the reckless intruder nearby throughout the process.
