SANS AUS VS ANIME

CHAPTER 3 — MAKE HIM MOVE

Sasuke's hand remained inside his weapon pouch.

The skeleton watched him.

No attack.

No movement.

Still smiling.

Twenty-seven meters.

Sasuke pulled his hand free.

Three shuriken.

Wire gleamed between them.

Kakashi noticed first.

"Wire."

Naruto leaned closer.

Sakura's eyes sharpened.

"He's setting something up."

Sasuke threw.

Not at the skeleton.

One shuriken flew left.

Another right.

The third high.

All three disappeared between buildings.

The skeleton didn't move.

"missed."

Sasuke's fingers pulled.

The wire snapped tight.

The shuriken curved.

They came back from different angles.

Behind.

Above.

Left.

The skeleton glanced backward.

One step.

The first shuriken missed his spine.

He ducked.

The second passed over his skull.

The third—

Sasuke pulled again.

The wire changed direction.

The blade hooked around a streetlamp.

The line whipped across the road.

Not toward the skeleton.

Around him.

Once.

Twice.

Metal wire tightened between poles, signs, broken cars, and building corners.

A web.

Midoriya's eyes widened.

"He wasn't trying to hit him."

Bakugo frowned.

"What?"

"He's limiting where he can go."

Kakashi nodded.

"And watching what he does when the easy escape routes disappear."

Sasuke pulled.

The final wire snapped into place.

The skeleton stood inside a loose cage of steel thread.

Still smiling.

Sasuke watched his feet.

Hands.

Head.

Everything.

Twenty-seven meters.

Then—

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

Sasuke inhaled.

Flame erupted.

The street became orange.

The fireball expanded until it swallowed almost the entire intersection.

Nami recoiled.

"That's huge!"

Tanjiro stared.

Heat.

Even through a screen that shouldn't have transmitted anything, his body reacted instinctively.

The fire hit.

BOOM!

Windows shattered.

An abandoned car flipped onto its side.

Fire rolled up the face of a building.

Naruto didn't blink.

Sakura didn't either.

The entire intersection disappeared behind flame.

Bakugo smirked.

"There."

All Might looked at him.

Bakugo kept watching.

"Let's see him dodge that."

The fire thinned.

Wire glowed red.

Asphalt burned.

The car Sans had been sitting on was engulfed.

No skeleton.

Vegeta folded his arms tighter.

"Told you."

Goku frowned.

"What?"

"Speed."

Kakashi's eye narrowed.

"Maybe."

Vegeta looked toward him.

"You saw something?"

"No."

"Then?"

Kakashi kept staring at the battlefield.

"I didn't see him move."

Vegeta scoffed.

"Exactly."

Goku said nothing.

Smoke drifted.

Sasuke's Sharingan turned.

Left rooftop.

Nothing.

Right alley.

Nothing.

Behind.

Nothing.

Above—

Sasuke moved.

A white sneaker landed where his head had been.

The skeleton appeared in midair.

Sasuke twisted.

His forearm caught the kick.

THUD.

Sasuke slid backward.

The skeleton landed.

For the first time—

he had closed the distance himself.

Naruto blinked.

"He attacked."

Zoro's eye narrowed.

"Barely."

Sasuke didn't answer the skeleton.

He slashed.

The skeleton leaned backward.

The sword missed by centimeters.

Sasuke reversed.

Second slash.

Duck.

Third.

Step.

Fourth.

The skeleton's hands finally left his pockets.

Not to block.

To balance.

Sasuke's Sharingan followed every movement.

No wasted motion.

Not faster than everything Sasuke had ever seen.

That wasn't the problem.

The problem was how little the skeleton moved.

A shoulder.

Half a step.

A tilt.

Every attack passed through exactly where he had been.

Ichigo leaned forward.

"He's reading him."

Zoro shook his head.

"Maybe."

Ichigo glanced over.

Zoro watched Sasuke's blade.

"Could be reading."

A slash missed.

"Could be waiting until the last second."

Another missed.

"Could be both."

Sasuke's sword reversed again.

The skeleton shifted.

Sasuke stopped the slash halfway.

Changed angle.

The skeleton's foot had already moved.

Sasuke saw it.

His eyes narrowed.

He wasn't reacting only to the blade.

He was reacting to Sasuke.

Shoulder.

Hip.

Weight.

Commitment.

Sasuke kicked.

The skeleton hopped backward.

Sasuke's left hand flashed.

A kunai flew past the skeleton.

Miss.

The skeleton's grin remained.

"you've got a lot of those."

The kunai struck a wall behind him.

An explosive tag fluttered from its handle.

The skeleton's grin seemed to freeze.

BOOM!

The wall exploded outward.

Bricks tore through the street.

Dust swallowed them both.

Naruto grinned despite himself.

"Got him!"

Sakura didn't.

"No."

Naruto looked at her.

She pointed.

Sasuke had already jumped away from the blast.

Sword raised.

Eyes searching.

"He isn't assuming anything."

Naruto's grin vanished.

Dust rolled.

Something white flew out.

A bone.

Sasuke's head snapped sideways.

WHOOSH!

The bone passed his cheek.

A thin cut opened.

Blood.

Sakura inhaled.

"What was that?"

Another bone erupted from the smoke.

Sasuke ducked.

A third came from below.

He jumped.

The pavement split.

White bones burst upward.

Not one.

Dozens.

Sasuke twisted in the air.

A bone passed beneath his foot.

Another reached for his ribs.

He kicked off the side of it.

The bone was solid.

That mattered.

He launched toward a wall.

More bones erupted.

Vertical.

Diagonal.

From pavement.

From broken windows.

From the side of an overturned car.

Sasuke's Sharingan spun.

His body moved between them.

Left.

Right.

Twist.

Duck.

Jump.

His sword cut one bone apart.

It broke.

Two more rose behind it.

Kakashi's eye widened slightly.

"Materialized attacks."

Megumi frowned.

"Or summoned."

Kakashi glanced toward him.

Megumi continued.

"We don't know where they're coming from."

"Correct."

Yuji watched the bones.

"That's definitely not normal."

Nobara looked at him.

"Brilliant."

"I meant for us!"

"Still brilliant."

Gojo didn't join them.

His eyes followed the attack pattern.

One bone.

Then three.

Then a line.

Then gaps.

Not random.

"Interesting."

Yuji looked at him.

Gojo didn't explain.

On the battlefield—

Sasuke landed on a streetlight.

Bones erupted up the pole.

He jumped.

More followed.

The skeleton emerged from the smoke below.

Dust covered his hoodie.

One sleeve had a small tear.

No visible blood.

No obvious injury.

Bakugo's smirk disappeared.

"That explosion hit him."

Midoriya shook his head.

"We don't know that."

"He was inside it."

"We lost sight of him before detonation."

Bakugo glared.

Midoriya didn't look away.

"We don't know."

Aizawa said nothing.

Bakugo hated that more.

Sasuke landed on a rooftop.

Bones shot over the edge.

He ran.

The skeleton remained in the street.

One hand lifted.

Bones appeared ahead of Sasuke.

Sasuke changed direction.

More.

He jumped to the next building.

Bones erupted from that rooftop too.

Naruto's jaw tightened.

"He can put them wherever Sasuke goes."

Kakashi shook his head.

"Not proven."

"But—"

"We don't know his range."

Naruto bit down on the next sentence.

Watched.

Sasuke reached the edge.

The skeleton was below.

Sasuke's fingers moved.

Fire gathered.

Then stopped.

He didn't release it.

The skeleton's skull tilted.

Sasuke had seen something.

Bones appeared around places he committed toward.

Not before.

They weren't filling the entire battlefield.

They were intercepting routes.

He changed direction without jumping.

No bones.

One step forward.

Nothing.

Feint right.

Nothing.

Then Sasuke truly launched left.

Bones erupted left.

His eyes sharpened.

Timing.

The skeleton needed—or chose—to respond to commitment.

Sasuke threw six shuriken while falling.

The skeleton sidestepped.

Sasuke pulled the hidden wire.

All six reversed.

The skeleton disappeared.

This time Sasuke was ready.

His eyes didn't search the path.

They searched destinations.

Street.

Roof.

Car.

Alley.

Behind—

Sasuke turned.

The skeleton appeared.

Sasuke's hand was already there.

Chidori!

Lightning screamed.

The theater erupted.

Sasuke drove his hand forward.

The skeleton's eyes widened.

He vanished.

Chidori tore through empty air.

But Sasuke had expected that too.

His other hand pulled the wire.

The street snapped alive.

Shuriken came back from four directions.

One passed through the space where the skeleton reappeared.

SCRATCH.

Blue fabric tore.

A thin line appeared across the skeleton's hoodie.

Silence.

Sasuke landed.

The skeleton looked down.

A tiny cut in the cloth.

No wound visible beneath.

Then looked at Sasuke.

"huh."

Naruto's fist tightened.

"He got him."

Kakashi corrected quietly.

"He touched his clothing."

Naruto looked at him.

Kakashi's eye remained forward.

"Don't turn hope into evidence."

Naruto's jaw tightened.

But he nodded.

Vegeta leaned forward now.

Barely.

The movement hadn't looked like speed that time.

He had watched carefully.

The skeleton disappeared.

Then appeared.

No travel.

No blur.

No acceleration.

Nothing between.

Goku glanced toward him.

Vegeta felt it.

"Don't."

"I didn't say anything."

"Good."

Goku smiled slightly.

Vegeta's eye twitched.

Frieza covered his mouth.

Vegeta glared at both of them.

"Say it."

Frieza's smile widened.

"I wouldn't dream of interrupting your analysis."

"Shut up."

Kakashi noticed Vegeta's irritation.

He didn't comment.

His own theory had strengthened.

Not proven.

Strengthened.

Sasuke stood in the street again.

The skeleton's hands returned to his pockets.

"okay."

Sasuke said nothing.

"that was pretty clever."

Still nothing.

"guess i should try too."

Naruto's body tensed.

Sakura's hand found his arm.

The skeleton lifted one foot.

A single bone appeared between them.

Not white.

Blue.

Bright cyan-blue.

It slid slowly across the road.

Sasuke watched it.

One bone.

Slow.

Compared with everything before—

pathetic.

Bakugo frowned.

"What is that supposed to do?"

Nobara stared.

"Maybe it's stronger?"

Midoriya leaned forward.

"Different color means some property changed."

Aizawa nodded once.

"Possibly."

The blue bone moved toward Sasuke.

He stepped aside.

Nothing happened.

It passed him.

The skeleton shrugged.

"welp."

Sasuke stared.

Too easy.

Another blue bone appeared.

It traveled at knee height.

Slow.

Sasuke didn't move immediately.

Sharingan watched.

The skeleton.

The bone.

The surroundings.

Nothing.

At the last moment Sasuke shifted his leg.

The bone passed harmlessly.

Third.

Faster.

Sasuke moved.

Miss.

Fourth.

Two together.

He jumped between them.

Nothing.

Bakugo scoffed.

"So that's his trick? Change the color?"

Goku frowned.

"No."

Vegeta looked at him.

"What?"

"I don't know."

"Then stop saying no."

Goku's eyes stayed on Sasuke.

"Something's wrong."

Tanjiro had the same feeling.

Not knowledge.

Not a smell he understood.

Just behavior.

The skeleton had gone from filling streets with attacks—

to throwing slow bones Sasuke could dodge.

Why?

Sasuke stopped.

The next blue bone approached.

Waist height.

He watched it.

He had avoided four.

No explosion.

No pursuit.

No secondary attack.

The skeleton watched him dodge each one.

That was the important part.

Sasuke's eyes narrowed.

The blue bone came closer.

Five meters.

Four.

Three.

Sasuke didn't move.

Naruto stiffened.

"Sasuke?"

Two.

Sakura's fingers dug into Naruto's arm.

One.

The bone passed directly through Sasuke's torso.

Nothing.

No blood.

No impact.

No damage.

The theater went silent.

Sasuke remained completely still.

The blue bone continued behind him.

His Sharingan followed it.

The skeleton's grin didn't change.

"there you go."

Midoriya's eyes widened.

"It only works if—"

He stopped himself.

Aizawa looked toward him.

"Say it."

Midoriya swallowed.

"We've seen it pass through him while he stayed still."

Aizawa nodded.

"And?"

"And every time he dodged before, we don't know what would've happened."

"Good."

Midoriya stared.

Not a conclusion.

A pattern.

Sasuke had reached the same point.

Movement.

The blue attacks had been bait.

Maybe.

He needed another test.

The skeleton sent two blue bones.

Sasuke stayed still.

They passed through.

No effect.

Three.

Still.

Nothing.

Then—

a white bone appeared between them.

Same size.

Same speed.

Same path.

Sasuke's Sharingan caught the color difference immediately.

He moved.

The bone passed where his ribs had been.

Naruto exhaled.

"White hurts."

Kakashi didn't answer.

But this time—

he didn't correct him immediately either.

Then both colors came.

Blue.

White.

Blue.

White.

Different heights.

Different speeds.

Sasuke moved only when necessary.

Stillness.

Step.

Stillness.

Duck.

Stillness.

Jump.

The pattern accelerated.

Bones filled the street.

White attacks demanded movement.

Blue attacks punished—or seemed to punish—movement.

Sasuke had to decide which was which before each reached him.

One mistake—

A white bone grazed his shoulder.

Blood.

Naruto flinched.

Sasuke didn't.

He adjusted.

Another sequence.

Faster.

Sakura stared.

"He figured it out."

Kakashi shook his head.

"He figured out enough."

White.

Move.

Blue.

Still.

White low.

Jump.

Blue high.

Don't duck.

A white bone from behind.

Turn.

Cut.

Blue from the side.

Freeze.

Sasuke's sandals scraped pavement.

His sword flashed.

Bone fragments scattered.

The skeleton watched.

His smile remained.

But his eyelids lowered slightly.

Sasuke saw that too.

Then Sasuke attacked while the pattern was still active.

Not afterward.

Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!

Multiple fireballs erupted.

Each hid shuriken inside.

The skeleton moved.

One fireball missed.

Two.

Three.

A shuriken emerged from the flames.

The skeleton leaned.

Another.

Step.

Sasuke ran through his own attack.

White bones rose.

He jumped.

Blue crossed his path.

He froze in mid-step—

barely—

letting it pass.

Then continued.

The theater reacted all at once.

"He can do that while attacking?!"

"He learned the colors!"

"No—he learned what they did to him!"

"Same thing!"

"No, it isn't!"

Sasuke reached the skeleton.

Sword.

The skeleton leaned.

Sasuke changed.

Kick.

The skeleton stepped away.

Wire snapped.

The skeleton vanished.

Sasuke's Sharingan found the reappearance point—

faster this time.

Chidori formed.

The skeleton vanished again.

Sasuke turned—

another destination.

Nothing.

Then above.

The skeleton dropped from a streetlight.

Sasuke looked up.

Too late.

The skeleton kicked his shoulder.

Sasuke rolled.

Recovered.

Threw two shuriken from the ground.

The skeleton dodged.

Sasuke smiled.

Tiny.

Barely there.

Naruto saw it.

"What?"

Sakura stared.

"What did he do?"

The shuriken had missed.

They struck opposite walls.

Wire tightened between them.

The skeleton landed between the lines.

Sasuke pulled.

The wire snapped inward.

The skeleton jumped.

Exactly where Sasuke wanted.

Sasuke's left eye sharpened.

Black flame appeared.

Not on the skeleton.

Ahead of him.

The space he was falling toward erupted into black fire.

Several people in the theater recoiled.

"What the hell is that?!"

Goku's expression changed.

Beerus's eyes narrowed.

Tanjiro stared at flames that didn't look like normal fire.

The skeleton saw them.

For the first time—

he didn't make a tiny movement.

He disappeared immediately.

Sasuke's Sharingan searched.

Street.

Roof.

Car.

Behind.

Nothing.

Then—

CLICK.

A sound behind Sasuke.

He turned.

Something floated above the street.

A skull.

Large.

White.

Long-jawed.

Empty sockets.

It wasn't the skeleton.

It wasn't human.

It wasn't anything most of the theater recognized.

Its mouth opened.

Light gathered inside.

Goku stood fully.

Ichigo tightened his grip on Zangetsu.

Gojo's expression sharpened.

Vegeta forgot his argument about speed.

Midoriya's eyes went wide.

Naruto's face drained.

"Sasuke."

Sasuke looked directly into the thing's open jaws.

Light compressed.

The skeleton stood on a rooftop behind it.

Hands back in his pockets.

His grin remained.

"my turn."

The beam fired.
