-----
I raised one leg and crossed my arms as I leaned back against the wall across from the door. They just left the café, according to a message I just received from her driver a few minutes ago.
The front door's door knob twisted open while I was having a thinking. The house was dark and eerily quiet because I had told the maids and servants to go early today.
When she observed the condition of the door, she sluggishly opened it and scowled. She slowly removed her shoes and hung them on the rack before removing her sweater and doing the same.
She moved in the direction of the switch and turned it on. She gave out a startled scream when she turned around and spotted me, and then her rapid breathing slowed down briefly, which made me grin.
I raise an eyebrow and mock, "Someone finally decided to come home."
Her hand was over her breast as she murmured, "Goodness Lorenzo, you scared me."
"Good," I simply retorted. She raised her head and sent me a sharp look, but when she caught sight of my face, her countenance changed to one of perplexity.
Why are you staring at me like that and what happened? She asks as I cautiously approach her, which makes her step back.
"My innocent little rose, you never learn, do you?" She just stares at me as I tut at her. Her eyes get even more agitated. I pause in my tracks just as I'm about to lock her against the wall.
Say, "Teach her a lesson." In my brain, he screams.
Why don't you take action? I rebuff him and take full control as he continues.
"Get ready and head upstairs. The emotion I had just a second earlier was gone, so I say icily while pointing to the stairs, "We are going somewhere.
She jumps to the side as she senses my sincerity and dashes up the stairs without pausing. I shake my head and emit a sly chuckle as her figure vanishes to the second floor.
As I barely manage to contain myself and make my way to my office to go and change, every twisted up and sinister thing I was going to do to her floods my mind.
I enter my office and head straight for the closet after opening the door. I take off the suit I was wearing and get a plain white dress shirt and pair of jeans.
I left the room feeling satisfied and then went back to the front entrance, locking the door to my office.
I am sitting on the bean bag that is not too far to the right of the entrance as I wait at the door.
I hear a few hasty footsteps come down just then. I look up to find Bella running toward the ground while dragging a bag.
I give her a long, critical look before tutting angrily. I chewed my bottom lip angrily but refrained from speaking.
"Is this okay?" She looked at me and questioned. She sighed in relief as I cocked an eyebrow and just nodded my head in her direction. When I indicated for her to go to the door, she quickly grabbed a pair of basic shoes and left.
As I left, I followed her and locked the front door. I followed her as she made her way toward my car. As soon as both of us were in the car, I started to drive away.
Asking "Where are we going?" After a protracted period of dead quiet, she asks suddenly.
I answered, "Somewhere.
"Somewhere?" She raises the same query once more. This time, she looks at me with the intention of getting a response.
"Somewhere. You'll see," I say, prompting her to sigh and walk away. As I proceeded to pass through the villages, she fixed her gaze on the open windows.
We arrived at my father's home after an hour-long drive. The innocent rose was so taken aback when she saw my father's stunning apartment since she had been so enthralled with the view.
She exclaimed "Woah" in awe, which made me snicker a little to myself.
I park the automobile after driving through the gates.
She inquired again, "Where are we?"
I select to respond this time, "My father's house." Her head swung in my direction as she gasped for oxygen.
She screamed "WHAT" in complete panic.
How come you didn't inform me. I could at least appear more professional. What if he doesn't like me? Oh my gosh. What if...? She completely forgot what she was saying and concentrated all of her attention on the chocolate when I shoved a piece of candy into her mouth to stop her rambling.
She ate it carelessly, and I shook my head in amusement. In case she lost herself again, I placed some more chocolates into my pocket and opened both doors while motioning for her to exit.
I motioned for her to go to the front door and said, "Come on. We carried on till we reached the main door. As I waited for the door to open, I rang the bell once and gave her a chocolate.
We didn't have to wait too long after pressing the doorbell a second time. The person who welcomed us at the front entrance was a maid.
Youthful master. She kindly said, "Your father is waiting for you in the dining room. I nodded and dragged Bella toward the dining area by grabbing one of her hands.
Before we entered, I said, "Just go with it," in my ear, and she nodded when she saw the expression on my face.
"You are exactly on schedule. My father got up from his seat and remarked, "The supper should be ready soon. I quickly nodded at him before focusing on Bella.
"Hello, Son," he says.
I respond, "Father."
And I assume you are his women. Yes?" Bella nods while he asks her while looking at her.
She says "Bella" and extends her hand.
It's a pleasure to meet you, young woman. He answers, holding her hand, "I'm Elias, Lorenzo's father.
He responds happily and leans back in his chair, saying, "Have a seat." I move to the table where Bella is seated and take a seat.
I listened in silence as the two of them began a brief talk. The food arrived shortly after, and we started putting food on our own plates.
"So, how did you guys meet?" Father enquired as he peered between us. Bella gave me a concerned look as she prepared to speak when I cut her off.
We actually met at a medical facility. I said with a phony smile while holding her hand, "I was simply there for a check up and she just happened to be in the room opposite me.
Yes, she said, concurring with me. She sprang out of her chair and turned to sneer at me as I pinched her leg in response to her trembling voice that gave us a suspicious appearance.
"That's very cute. Who then initiated the discussion?
"I did"
"I did"
At the same time, we both said. When I turned to give her a stern look, she only hissed at me indignantly.
Father's booming laugh was in response to our strong eye contact.
You know, if I didn't know you well, I'd assume that everything is a lie. He laughed and exclaimed, forcing both of us to tense but maintain our composure.
Have you planned everything for your wedding tomorrow? Bella started choking on a potato she was now eating, thanks to my father.
She shouted out "WEDDING," which made me groan inwardly. Was she ever more obvious?
For the third time today, I pinched her again, and this time she finally composed herself.
Oh, wedding, I see. I omitted. She said with a gentle giggle, "I forgot to take my pills today," and my father nodded in agreement.
"Don't worry. I'm relieved that you already know this. When he called me today and said that you two were getting married, I was equally as shocked. It's amazing, but I felt like it moved a little too quickly. Do you guys have the location and attire ready? He asked if it was okay to peek between us.
"Since we wanted it to be straightforward, it won't be a traditional wedding. Roman will be the only additional party, I stated as I looked at Bella and asked her to confirm. She confirms by nodding, and he nods in agreement.
If you two wish for that, he said.
The remainder of the meal went fairly well. The chats were typically started by my father, and Bella and he would somehow find common ground on every subject. I checked the time after about an hour and saw that it was getting close to midnight.
"All right, I believe it's time to leave, father. He nods in agreement as I explain that we need to go to bed and accomplish some tasks before the wedding day. Bella follows my lead and gets up from the chair.
"Would you wish to stay, everyone? It would undoubtedly be more comfortable. I shook my head at his suggestion to gaze at Bella.
"That's okay, dad. I respond, "We have a lot to do, and we need to go home.
It won't be a problem to leave early tomorrow. You two shouldn't be traveling at this hour of the night, in my opinion. Bella, are you in agreement? He queries as he observes her. I glare at her as she hesitates but nods her head.
"As you can see, tomorrow is your option. Let's go. He enthusiastically announced as he made his way upstairs, "I have a room ready for you two, let's get you settled in.
We were after my father when I forcefully murmured in her ear, "This is your fault."
She responded, "No, it's not," and lightly shoved me.
We ultimately had to struggle to get there.
