Chapter 21 - Death of A Prince

"The first thing the elders will do is send assassins to all four ruling families. If one cannot be a friend, they should be six feet under. This is how those elders of mine will think about the situation. These assassins will be in the Origin Realm, the realm above the mortal realm," said Huang Biren.

The first prince was clearly confused by the young miss's words. When Huang Biren saw his bewilderment, she decided to explain the stark reality of the situation to him.

"The first realm of cultivation is the Mortal Realm, which has nine distinct stages, from the Bone-Forging stage to the Brain-Enhancement stage. Those with enough talent can continue their cultivation and break through to the second realm, the Origin Realm. In this Tinding Kingdom, the highest level of cultivation attained is merely the early Origin Realm. Each of the ruling families has exactly one cultivator in this realm, and your royal family has only two people this powerful. Now that you know these stages of cultivation, you should know that our Huang family having hundreds of Origin Realm cultivators is more than enough for us to completely conquer this kingdom in a single night. You must think I am bluffing or lying. You are probably wondering why we did not take over the kingdom sooner if we possessed all this power. The answer is simple: ruling this small kingdom is of absolutely no interest to us. As long as your family was ruling while leaving us alone, we would not have gotten involved in this kingdom's politics at all—not until we acquired an Imperial Mandate. But now, the elders of the Huang family must think it is far easier to just take over as we look for that Mandate."

Boom! A loud explosion echoed violently through the capital, startling the first prince. He quickly walked to his window and pulled back the curtain. Through the glass, he saw that the city below was actively on fire. He turned and looked back at the young miss with a grim expression.

"Look closer," Huang Biren said, prompting the prince to look outside a second time. This time, he studied the city for a few minutes before realizing that the massive fires were blazing specifically from the grand mansions of the four rival ruling families. This time, he could even hear the chaotic clashing of weapons and the distant screams of dying people echoing all over the city.

The prince turned around and calmly walked back to his chair near the dressing mirror and sat down. "What is the point of panicking now that it has come to this? The only logical thing I can do is take you before I make my escape," he said.

Tinding Mu looked down at his pants, his lust driving his actions as he prepared to force himself upon her. Huang Biren flinched at his vulgar display, but she quickly regained her perfect composure. The prince was disappointed that Biren's reaction was so minimal, but he consoled himself by thinking about the screams she would let out underneath him soon. The prince stood up and slowly approached the young miss, who also stood up, and the two faced each other directly.

The prince circulated his cultivation, revealing that he did possess some talent; he was in the ninth stage of the Mortal Realm. The young miss did not even change her expression. Instead, she circulated her own cultivation and released its full, hidden might. Her entire body became instantly covered in bright blue flames that lit up the whole room. The first prince was not stupid; the moment he saw the terrifying pressure of the blue flames, he stopped his advance and started looking for the fastest escape routes from the bedroom. It turned out that the young miss was already in the legendary Origin Realm herself, which was the exact reason the Huang family had not attacked the royal palace immediately. They knew that if the young miss had chosen to stay in the palace, it was entirely her own choice, and she could leave any moment she wanted.

As the two faced each other, the heavy wooden door to the room, now positioned directly behind the prince, exploded inward, sending sharp splinters of wood flying through the air. By the time the pieces of wood fell to the shiny floor, the prince's head was completely gone, leaving only a standing headless body that spewed hot blood like a fountain all over the floor. The missing head fell with a sickening sound a few meters away from the young miss's feet.

But the most striking figure in the room was the white wolf that now stood a few meters away from the collapsing body, snarling fiercely with fresh royal blood flowing from his mouth.
