Until the moon hung in the center of the night sky, Howard finally nestled quietly in Keira Leaf's arms and fell asleep peacefully.
Two indigenous people were guarding the surrounding area, occasionally casting curious glances at her, yet not too complex.
Keira Leaf hugged Howard and gently closed her eyes, just about to enter dreamland when a fleshy little hand suddenly grabbed her finger tightly, "Mum..."
Keira Leaf gently opened her eyes, and upon seeing Howard holding onto her uneasily, as if afraid she'd disappear upon waking up.
Keira Leaf gently kissed his forehead and closed her eyes again.
At dawn, with the sun still hovering near the horizon, Howard suddenly sat up. Not fully asleep, Keira Leaf hurriedly sat up too and softly asked, "What's wrong?"
Howard blinked his blurry eyes, looking somewhat confused at Keira Leaf, and then softly said, "I want to eat the braised pork ribs and red velvet cake Mum makes. Mum's stuff is the most delicious in the world."
