"Hiss… what are you doing!" Molly Wellington cried out in pain, and by the time she reacted, the necklace had already fallen into Abraham Redington's hand.
This necklace was far too expensive; she'd been planning to find a time to return it to Uncle Chamberlain.
"What, you're that nervous over this token of affection between you and Eddy Chamberlain?" Abraham sneered, the dark blue of his eyes like ice. "You care so much about what he gives you, yet you turn your nose up at what I give. Heh… I suddenly really want to know—if your fiancé sees this necklace in my hand, how will he look at you?"
As he spoke, Abraham slipped that sapphire necklace into the breast pocket of his suit.
Molly Wellington clenched her teeth. "You can't do that…"
"Whether I can or not depends on my mood." Abraham reached into the pocket on the other side and pulled out a small diamond ring.
"If you don't want me to deliver this necklace right to Eddy Chamberlain, then be good and put this on."
