The five fingers exerted slight pressure, and her fair skin began to blush.
Facing his cold and fierce eyes, Victoria Gibson's heart skipped a beat, completely at a loss as to how she had offended him.
"It's nothing, just asking about a few things," Victoria forced herself to speak.
"What could be so urgent that you sneak behind my back and follow him into the office?" Chad Yakov heard her words, but his expression did not soften; it grew even more somber.
"I wasn't sneaking around, I just happened to meet him, so we talked for a bit. I'm not like you, flirting with everyone you see..." Victoria blurted out, noticing his face turning completely dark as she realized what she had just said.
Was her mind caught by the door?
She actually dared to talk back to Chad Yakov. Would he get furious and strangle her right there?
Victoria felt her nerves tighten and instinctively wanted to retreat...
"Do you care that much about whom I flirt with?"
