A Lady of Lines & Curves I - One Piece: I'm Mihawk's Son (hiatus)

Of all powers, aside from Imu's that were downright magic, or my mother's, this is the most complex one I have felt so far.

It all started from the beginning. There was no way I would allow Ali to go on the loose. So I took Kuma along and we supervised her for the whole journey, always invisible and concealing our intent as much as possible. If we were to be discovered... then there is nothing I can do. But I'd rather we're discovered together than Ali being discovered on her own.

We saw everything she did with the first celestial dragon and I... didn't stop her. Neither I nor Kuma shed a single tear or felt the slightest bit uncomfortable. It was from that point, however, that things began getting awry and complex.

RUMBLE...

It was a subtle wave, so subtle in fact... that if I hadn't been paying attention to Ali, I wouldn't have noticed it.

On her way back to her objective, she kept making the wrong turns, going back on her way... in other words, always getting lost. I thought it was deliberate, a wicked way for her to vent her anger.

That was until I witnessed and felt her frustration. She wasn't doing it deliberately...

I created a barrier with my psychokinesis around her. My barrier has many qualities, such as negating the influence of Haki or other powers such as a number of Devil Fruits. If there was anything influencing her, my barrier should have been able to stop it. Colour me surprised... she regained her way until she reached a mansion.

CRACK.

!!!

My barrier cracked, that was what triggered all my alarms. In order to crack my barrier... I can't even comprehend myself how much power is needed for my barrier to crack, but now it cracked... on its own? without any force or destructive measures?!

Whoever this person was, they weren't playing games and they weren't simple at all.

BAANG!

My barrier shattered a few seconds later and Ali once again began losing her way within the mansion, she didn't even notice it herself.

"Veyron..."

"It's one of the knights, Kuma. Get ready but don't make any move yet, call Dragon".

Even Kuma sensed something was wrong when he saw me all flustered, it is not something common in me.

To say it in simple terms, this person 'hacked' my barrier... there was so much wisdom and technique behind this person's power that I didn't even dare sense around me. I don't know if this is a devil fruit or Haki but It is probable that this individual is going to pinpoint my location just based on my senses.

It has to be a Knight of God. Only an old demon living more than a few centuries could do something like this to me and that's a characteristic they all share; they're from the void century.

This back and forth continued all the way with me blocking the person's intent while she shattered by barriers one after the other even when I strengthened them. I was so focused on this counter-offensive that Ali ended up bumping into them a few times.

What should have been a few seconds ended up being minutes, and for an infiltrated and undercover mission, this was deadly. That said, my confusion resurfaced.

'What's this person's intentions...?'

They're not attacking, they're not revealing themselves, they're not calling for help... they're just trying to lead Ali away? Why? It doesn't make sense to me. Are they just having fun? Playing with me?

The more I asked myself the more I thought it was just some bored knight wanting to have some fun for a chance. I don't mind entertaining you. Once we have Ginny we're gone, as for Ali killing Rosward, I promised her but we may have to postpone it now that we have been exposed, the wrong move will lead to a war, no doubt.

Ali arrived in a room, and there she was, Ginny... just looking at her I felt the urge to cause a massacre. It was evident what she had gone through, but it didn't stop Kuma from trying to immediately rush in, however, I stopped him to listen to their conversation.

"How could she not be worth it, let me go!".

"Wait!".

RUMBLE!!

I created a bigger barrier around the whole mansion just in case an incident occurred, but the barrier cracked just as fast as I laid it down.

'Damn it'.

Once Ali left I allowed Kuma into the room and infiltrated the mansion. Ginny was about to take the den den mushi to make the call when Kuma materialised in front of her. The reunion of those two was something I wished to see, just looking at the shock and infatuation between them, I could feel how much love there was... but now it wasn't the time.

I heard Kuma use his power to take Ginny and the little girl away before making my way to where Ali had gone, the attack of this individual had intensified... all the barriers I created were being shattered one after the other to the point her powers began to affect me as well.

I got lost in this mansion too!

RUMBLE!!

Thankfully, Ali's killing intent had reached the apex, I could sense her as clearly as a bonfire amidst the snow. And I wasn't the only one.

When I finally reached the room, all I saw was Ali's sand attack being redirected to her. I had no choice but to step in... it is time to confront whoever this person is.

CHAAA!

I stopped the attack and created an array of barriers around the mansion. You thought this was my limit? I can create dozens of them at a time.

The woman's shock lasted only for so long. She was so beautiful that any man would have to stop for one minute to contemplate and try to understand her beauty. She was so lethal, that minute was all she needed to end that man's life.

The 9th Knight of God, Saint Isabel Esquivel. I don't know much about her, my mother has told me limited information about the knights as their powers being a secret is one of their cards under their sleeve.

From the start, the Knights of God are a group that's completely secret and even only a handful of celestial dragons know of their existence, among them... the heads of every royal family.

"Must I show you...? That coming here was the wrong choice?"

At the start, I thought she was openly challenging me to a fight with her cocky words. That was until the world around me changed completely... so much so that every single one of my senses felt like I was transported to a different world.

An illusion? No, it couldn't be... it was too realistic.

I was in the skies. I wasn't alone. We were all arranged in the same position.

"This is-" I heard a voice next to me. It was Dragon!

"What is going on?" Ali asked me, we were all frozen in one place and so was the woman who seemed to be sitting on nothing in the middle of the clear skies.

She pointed in one direction, deep beneath us I saw the flying islands of Shandora, Skypea and Amazon Lily on the white sea. I could feel the breeze around me, the moisture in the air and the coldness of the stratosphere. Above us, there were even more clouds and amidst those clouds, I managed to see what looked like a gigantic shadow of something so massive that it matched the islands in size.
