"Hmm…" Juniel pondered for a minute before selecting the gene serum. After selected the serum, a drop-down followed from it.

[Ding! Select Gene Type:AppearancePhysicalSpiritual/MagicalMental]

For Juniel this was a tough one, Appearance is important, but only in the later stages of nobility, and establishing a means of recognition from other noble families or individuals. Physical was likely to be the most immediate helper, as Aridel was only a wanderer. Magical and Mental Gene types were also more long term helpers.

So thinking logically, he had 4 other gene serums, the first one should be physical, in order to assist Aridel's chapter.

[Ding! Gene Type Selected: Physical]

"Only 5 Options…?" Juniel kissed his teeth (?).

[A T6 Gene Serum is the lowest Tier Gene Serum, there are no Gene Serums T1-T5]

Juniel studied the list. regeneration would heal wounds - useful, but Aridel's Demigod Physique already granted astonishing recovery. Ambidextrous would make a more versatile fighter. Muscle Fibers would add raw strength. Enhanced Vision would sharpen perception. But Poison Immunity… that was different. It was insurance. In a dynasty that might last centuries, poison was a threat that transcended era and technology. It would protect not just ARidel, but every heir after him. It was quiet. It was generational. "I'll take Low Poison Immunity."

Aridel, still wondering his way to Haldrin, looked at the blue screen with confusion– followed by terror.

"My… what?!"

"Decline! Decline!"

[Message from FS-984: Good luck.]

After a sudden quest Aridel received from Juniel, he approached what he hoped to be Haldrin with quickened speed, at times jog along pathways. On the way, he met other people, who sometimes would help direct him to Haldrin, other times mock him and his clothing, depending on the tax bracket.

However, one time he was exceedingly lucky.

"HALT!" Aridel heard beyond the bend the pathway.

The sound of marching stopped upon the instruction.

Approaching the bend, Aridel's eyes fixated on a man in charge, who promptly got off his horse. It was clear to Aridel, and likely anyone with their wits about them, that he was someone of major importance, below his horse were two other people, one freshening up the horse, the other freshening up the man off the horse.

"Enough! The prince is kind but this is just unnecessary," He told off the person freshening him up,"More importantly, there's someone over there."

He pointed toward the curve of which Aridel peaked around. Shocked Aridel scampered into cover, there were about 50 soldiers behind the man, he wasn't willing to risk anything- his only goal was to make it into Haldrin, not to get caught up in anything rash.

The man laughed, "He thinks I can't see him, interesting."

Aridel shut his eyes, he was making a fool of himself. Maybe he should just come out-

"Well I must say I didn't expect you to act as though you were sleeping when I came over here."

Almost immediately, Aridel's eyes opened wide, to see a man decked out in armor, his sword unsheathed but kept away from Aridel.

Jumping back, Aridel took out his own sword.

The man in armor simultaneously swung his sword at Aridel, of which Aridel jumped back.

"Stop! I don't mean any harm, I just want into Haldrin." Aridel said hurriedly, scared of the obvious difference in level.

The man stepped back, sheathing his sword," Then maybe next time you shouldn't bring out your sword in my presence."

The man gathered himself and then proceeded to offer a handshake," I'm Luther Gillian, Commander of the 5th Imperial Army, Right Hand of the 4th Prince, Member of the Tenth Order, The Patriarch of the Gillian Family, a Loyal Sword of the King, the 1 of 5 immigrants to ever be ordained by the His Majesty, A proud recipient of the Medal of Bericius, and a landed Knight of Caldrithia, who are you?"

"My name is Aridel," He said shaking Luther's hand.

"…anything else?"

"I am from Cracktow."

"Right… That's it?"

"Oh… and I want to become your squire."

Luther laughed as though he wasn't allowed to laugh anywhere else," How about this 'Aridel', if you manage to beat my squire, I'll let you become one yourself."

"Perfect." Aridel said, with confidence oozing from his first encounter, after all if he can take on 3 bandits, one squire should be about the same amount of difficulty.

Luther Gillian, turned his back to Aridel and yelled," Henry!"

The teenager who was originally leading the march on foot ahead of the 50 or so soldiers hastily made his way in front of Luther, where he kneeled. "Sir?"

"Introduce yourself to…?"

"Aridel"

"Right! Nearly forgot, anyways, introduce yourself to Aridel with the honor of Bericius on the line."

Henry quickly got up with a confused look, but followed orders with precision, "My name is Henry Kartier, squire to Sir Luther Gillian, and I stake my most grand title, squire of Sir Luther Gillian, in a duel against you, in accordance with the honor of Bericius."

Aridel quickly realized that "the honor of Bericius" was a way of dueling someone with stakes in Caldrithia, so he complied.

"I accept."
