Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 131 - Enlistment
Apollo opened his eyes and sat up in his bed, he looked at his phone "10-43". (This new time frame is weird, it even goes up to 35 hours!) Apollo thought as he looked at everyone else sleeping. He thought it'd be funny to start waking everyone up one by one but instead waited. In about 6 minutes Cias opened his eyes, looking over at Apollo scrolling his phone, he walked over ,"Good morning," Apollo nodded his head upwards. Noah was the next one to wake up, he got up and out of his bed so fast that one would assume that he hadn't been sleeping a second ago. That meant that the last one sleeping was Devan, they waited for about 15 minutes before they all looked at each other and smiled. They all walked over to his bed and breathed in all the air they could and screamed out ,"""RISE AND SHINE!!!""" Devan jumped out of his bed and screamed ,"SHIT… Oh come on guys I was trying to sleep." Apollo grinned at him ,"You got all the time to sleep tonight, we got stuff to do."
Without any hesitation they all got out of their hotel but were stopped by the hotel manager ,"You know there's a continental breakfast over here right?" Cias smirked and looked at everyone else ,"Continental breakfast you say??" ,"Yes sir, it's free," ,"MMM." Devan looked over at him and started rubbing his eyes, he whispered ,"Oh my god." … ,"HELLO GREECE, WHERE THE YOGURT FLOWS LIKE WATER." After about an hour of him going around and eating the breakfast, Devan was at his whits end ,"CAN YOU FINISH EATING." Cias looked over ,"Yeah, I'm alright now." Devan stared blankly at him, sighing and said ,"Let's go then."
They went up to the terminal and just typed "Military". Immediately when Cias clicked the newly updated enlist button instead of finalize, a portal opened, the terminal said ,"PEOPLE OTHER THAN CIAS CANNOT ENTER, PLEASE PROCEED CIAS". As he went through the portal they all followed suit as they typed in military. When they appeared on the other side of the portal they saw a giant building in front of them, they walked inside. A middle aged man looked at them and said ,"Your hands on the device." He pulled out a ki reception item, every single one of them touched it individually, each being ranked by their strength. They all scored in the advanced class, even without training which was impressive in its own right, but that meant they were weak for the military's standards. The man sucked in one of his cheeks as he said ,"I see that you guys are ascendents, I didn't expect you guys to be on the weaker side. Well, you're going to need to do our intensive training regimen to get to the level that we want you at, you okay with that?" They all nodded their heads ,""""Hell yeah!!!!""""
They were led to yet another transporter, the man smiled at them ,"Get ready, from now on, life is going to be a little hard." Noah looked at him with a devilish grin ,"I'm glad." The man stared at the young man, he didn't expect to see a person's eyes to look so much like a beast. Without a second delay, they all entered the portal. As they looked around, they saw a vast field and a holographic message above them reading "APPROACH THE MOUNTAIN". It really wasn't that far away, maybe a mile or so. As they walked they felt an uncanny feeling that lurking at the top was something wicked. The energy waves that they felt were only getting stronger the closer they got to the top. The slope was unusually calm, with no aggressive turns or handholds. When they reached the top they saw a man emanating a Jasmine hue. He looked back and saw the 4 boys, he looked no older than 23. He excitedly said ,"So you'll be the ones I'm training, I'm so glad that I get none other than ascendents to train in order to advance my rank. I guess we should start now right? I mean they gave us a whole planet to train on, let's stretch out and explore a little bit." Apollo asked the man ,"Are you sure we shouldn't start training now?(I don't even know your name)" The man answered ,"Oh it'll be fine, we'll do some training on the way around the planet."
