Hyun-Ah PoV
The metallic snap of my orichalcum spear echoed through the subterranean chamber like a death knell.
Garmr's manic laughter vibrated against my skull, hot and rank with the stench of burning sulfur. He tossed the shattered half of the spearhead aside, the sacred metal clattering uselessly against the blood-slick flagstones. His clawed hand came sweeping in for my throat, black abyssal fire trailing from his fingertips in jagged talons of pure killing intent.
"Imitation?" I snarled, refusing to yield an inch of ground. "Let me show you the real thing!"
I released the broken shaft in my left hand. Instead of pulling back, I drove myself forward, slipping beneath the lethal sweep of his claws.
