The place was lit with candles that were lined on the walls all the way to the ceiling. It made Jeffery wonder how they could get up there but oh well, it gave the area a warm feeling at the same time, a ghostly atmosphere. Jeffery sat up and looked around. They were placed on a round table that had so many chairs, Jeffery found himself counting to while away time.
Then he turned to the vampire who had led them there. "Who are we waiting for exactly?"
The vampire looked at him and returned his gaze forward with no expression whatsoever.
Jeffery took the cue and closed his mouth. The chairs that were unfilled were about sixteen and Jeffery had an uncanny feeling about the whole thing. However, he began to speak to himself. He could do it. He didn't need to be afraid. They hadn't hurt him or anyone that accompanied him so why was he allowing fear and doubt to take over his mind? He rolled his shoulder to ease off the tension when he heard the door screech and open.
