A year after their marriage they had their first child and named her . After a year he came home to find Belle dead ,due to her death he became weak and devastated.
He took care of Medusa till she was seventeen, Richard fell ill . Medusa packed her clothe into her sack and will turn back to stare at her sick father every now and then.
" remember all that I told you never even to your husband" he told her and she nodded obediently." you should leave now '' she gave him a last look before walking out.
she closed her eyes to hold back the tears, she hurriedly made her way towards the market to find Sylvia waiting for her , immediately she saw Medusa, she widely opened her hands and without a second thought Medusa ran into her open arms with tears streaming down her face.
" it's okay " Sylvia tried calming Medusa down , " everything will be fine " she said that even when she herself wasn't sure if everything will be fine.
Medusa finally calmed down, holding her sack tightly she followed Sylvia who lead the way through the market while people spoke about the beautiful red hair who just walked past.
A girl with a shiny dark hair which fell elegantly down to her hip stood at the door when she got to Sylvia's house.
'' oh my , you are so beautiful" the girl exclaimed." mother described you to be beautiful but i never expected you to be this beautiful, believe me I knew that you will be beautiful but not as beautiful as this , come in let me help you with your sack " the girl collected Medusa's sack .
" where are my manners ,my name is Corvina ,my father told me that the name suited me perfectly because of my dark hair but I prefer your red hair " the girl kept talking. " you don't have to say anything,I know you aren't used to being around people" she said with her warm smile never leaving her face .
' how is it easy for people to smile ? ' Medusa asked herself as Corvina showed her to her room.
" when you are done bathing,I will like to take you to the temple and also show you round ,be fast " Corvina shut the door slowly.
After changing she went to the kitchen to find Corvina sitting on a chair holding a book.
" Corvina can we go now ? "she asked nervously while she stared at her shoes .
" wow , you spoke ,I knew you will say something , yes we can go now " she dropped the book she held on a table .
" you didn't ask if she's hungry " Sylvia said as she chopped the vegetables.
" oh , so sorry am just to excited Are you hungry ?" she asked as she stood up.
" no " Medusa shook her head.

" okay mother" Corvina shouted as she dragged Medusa out of the house .
" I know I talk too much but it's been long I spoke to someone because my brother left the house to stay with Uncle" .
" you are nice and I like you " Medusa offered a smile.
" really! " Corvina squealed happily." then let be friends" Medusa nodded her head like always.
After Medusa left , Richard crawled to the place where his wife was buried and laid beside her grave in the cave .
Staring at the sword he held , he had forgotten to give it to Medusa, he rested his head on Belle's grave and slowly closed his eyes .
When Corvina was done showing her the temple and other places she took her to the market .
" two apples please" she paid after collecting the apples she gave one to Medusa who stared at it for a while before taking a bite .
" do you know that people go to the temple to pray every day and anytime especially when there is war ".
" war ? " Medusa asked as she chewed bite of her apple.
" yes war , many kingdoms want to prove how powerful they are by waging wars against us so we could get conquered but we always come back with Victory"
" when was the last war ? " Medusa suddenly became interested.
