The cafeteria was located on the fourth floor. When the lunchtime rush hit, Ethan's new teammates practically dragged him upstairs, refusing to let him sit out.
Ethan didn't fight them. Following their lead, he carried his tray over and sat down at their table.
"Ah! Ethan, do you always eat so little, or is the food here just not to your taste?" a beta girl asked, her brow furrowing with genuine worry. The others at the table paused, turning matching looks of concern toward him.
"I've always eaten light. My appetite just isn't very big, haha..."
To his surprise, fitting in with them was effortless. They eagerly recommended their favorite menu items and traded jokes with him as if they had been friends for years.
'Were people always this kind? How did I never know the world could be like this?'
