How often have we dreamed of going to another world?
Of deeds great and renowned, of meeting the beautiful princess and winning her heart?
Or for giggles, marking off the Geneva Checklist?
Well, Jack is a gamer who's not that well known, but has achieved his own greatness. Several leader boards on several games bear question marks simply because he doesn't want to deal with people online while having fun living a life that he thinks is impossible to have in reality, though he works and has multiple female friends he either hangs out with or does stuff with. He hasn't been in a relationship in years due to the fact that he doesn't feel that the women around him match what he's looking for.
A woman that can stand beside him, shoulder to shoulder, as they face the world together through thick and thin. A woman who can throw down with the best of them, he doesn't mind if they curse like a sailor, as long they are willing to be with him through it all. A true partner, not a glass vase that looks pretty but will break in a storm.
In person he's your typical guy with dark blonde hair, storm grey eyes set in an aristocratic face that is either stoic or has a smile that promises trouble and fun in equal measure, standing just under six feet tall he lifts weights and likes to swim with a lean cut figure that he generally doesn't show off.
Swimming has been an issue with female lifeguards acting inappropriately while swimming, like one female lifeguard squatting next to the side of the pool as he's swimming up to get out of the water so when his head comes up between her legs as she looks down at him and says you're a good swimmer and I'd like to get to know you better.
Multiple instances of stuff like that occurring is what has led him to current location to get away from those thirsty ladies because all he wants to do is swim.
For him swimming is peace, tranquility, just him and the water. Almost like it's his home, where he belongs and truly feels free.
So that has led him to a quiet lake a few miles from town so that he can swim in peace.
As he dives off a short ledge into the water heading fails to notice a storm brewing overhead as he continues to swim to a depth of twenty feet and sit on the lake bed for about thirty seconds then kick off to swim to the surface.
As he rises he notices that the water is getting choppy and when his head breaks out of the water all he sees is a wall of rain with lightning everywhere overhead.
Knowing it is dangerous to be in the water during a lightning storm he starts swimming in the direction of the shore.
After swimming for roughly five minutes he comes to the realization that he's not in the lake anymore because the water tastes like salt and he hasn't found the shore.
Knowing that he has to keep his head above water and conserve his energy because somehow he ended up in the ocean and the ocean is a totally different woman during a storm compared to a lake, he keeps to a simple breaststroke while trying to see if there is land nearby so that he can get out of the water.
About an hour passes and his energy is running when the storm breaks and the water calms down allowing him to see a pristine white beach that he starts swimming towards.
