Nathan Fawcett looked at her. "I'm serious! If you don't believe me, ask Ian."
Ian was holding Anne Sutton's hand with one of his, and Nathan Fawcett's with the other.
Hearing Nathan, he looked up at him. "What about Ian?"
Nathan said, "Tell your mommy, before she came, did I ever argue with your grandma?"
"No," Ian said. "Daddy used to be so obedient! Now he's just like Ian, always making Grandma mad."
"..." Anne looked at the little guy. "How do you make your grandma mad?"
Ian said, "When Grandma won't let me see Mommy, I get sad. And when I'm sad, I misbehave."
"Pfft..." Anne said. "You're something else, saying you misbehave so matter-of-factly."
Ian looked at her and grinned. "Mommy, Ian will try his best not to make you mad in the future!"
Anne said, "Okay, okay!"
Once in the car, Anne looked at her son, then said to Nathan, "I don't know how you raised him to be like this. He's so thoughtful!"
