Anne Sutton said, "How have you been feeling these past couple of days? I just came by to check on you."
She hadn't visited for a couple of days and wasn't sure how Lana Langley was doing.
Still, seeing her get hit by a car that day had left Anne a little worried.
Lana Langley said awkwardly, "I'm fine."
The last time they'd met, Anne had exposed her lies, which had deeply embarrassed her.
Anne looked at her. "Ryan Linden was the one who treated you that way, and he lost the house you were saving for your son. You don't blame him?"
Hearing this, Lana Langley looked at Anne defensively. "Are you trying to drive a wedge between my husband and me again?"
"If you want to treasure a man like that, to make him your everything, I have nothing to say. I'm just curious what's going through your head! How can you be bullied like this and not even be the slightest bit angry?"
