'He's this obedient?'
Anne Sutton wasn't quite used to it.
Even though they had been out all day, Nathan Fawcett wasn't tired at all. He even took a cold shower before coming out.
When he came out, Anne Sutton had already settled into bed.
She was leaning against the pillow, holding her phone, the light from the screen illuminating her face.
He stood to the side, watching her.
Sensing his gaze, Anne Sutton looked up and met his eyes. "What are you looking at me for?"
Nathan Fawcett said, "Why aren't you asleep yet?"
"I'm not very sleepy," Anne Sutton said. "Maybe it's because I haven't been out for fun in a long time."
'I can't even remember the last time I was this happy!'
'Right now, I'm truly happy!'
'It's like all the pressure from before is gone!'
If she had come here for the child's sake before, Anne Sutton was now starting to genuinely enjoy life here.
Nathan Fawcett said, "Then get some sleep."
