With that, she went to contact the other parties.
Nathan Fawcett had just finished a meeting when he received a call from his mother. She told him that Faye Yorke had rejected the marriage proposal and no longer wanted to pursue a relationship with him. She had already arranged for someone else and wanted Nathan to go meet them.
Nathan was about to refuse when Anna Linden added, "Anne Sutton will be there too."
"..." Hearing this, Nathan had no choice but to agree.
Anne Sutton followed Anna Linden to the private dining room. Anna hadn't even bothered to change the venue; it was the same place as last time. Anne had no idea who they were supposed to be meeting.
'But with the Linden Family's status, finding a woman for him to marry should be quite easy.'
A moment later, Nathan Fawcett arrived. He saw Anne Sutton, then his gaze shifted to his mother. "Why have you been spending so much time with her lately? Didn't you say you disliked her?" he asked.
