She knew Nathan Fawcett had made these arrangements because he might never come back again.
After all, he had to maintain his identity as Ethan Linden.
Anne Sutton followed Nathan Fawcett into the car, ready to head back. She looked at him and asked, "You planned all this from the start, didn't you?"
Nathan Fawcett replied, "What's wrong? Aren't you happy? You've always hated Charles Prescott. When we got married, all you wanted was everything the Fawcett Family possessed. I'm giving it to you now. Isn't that good?"
Anne Sutton looked at him as tears fell. She reached up to wipe them away. "I didn't want all this. I just wanted to see Charles Prescott suffer."
Nathan Fawcett said, "The decision is in your hands now. You're free to do whatever you want with him in the future. For now, though, he's still useful. If you find a better candidate later on and don't need him anymore, just kick him out. Your status has changed. He won't dare treat you the way he used to!"
