"If you like it, buy it," Anne Sutton said.
The butler quickly pushed the shopping cart over.
Nathan Fawcett walked ahead, tossing anything that caught his eye into the cart. He quickly amassed a large pile of items.
Anne Sutton wasn't interested in shopping, so she stopped after just a few steps.
She found a chair and sat down.
'She didn't know where Nathan Fawcett got this sudden enthusiasm from. Still, it was clear that the prospect of becoming a father made him quite happy.'
'Otherwise, he wouldn't be dragging his completely spent body here to do things the servants could have easily handled.'
A salesclerk poured her some water. She took a couple of sips and chatted with them for a while.
Just as she was enjoying the chat, she saw Sylvia Warren and Charles Prescott walk in.
Sylvia Warren followed beside Charles Prescott, saying petulantly, "You haven't come to see me in so long!"
