Chapter 58 - Chapter 58 – Minoru was now in Peace and will be a Provider for Boosted Power

Third person POV

The next morning, Shinta was now in front of ITA's school board all scared and trembling. The ledger of his actions and misdeeds is recording each of them. As early as 5 a.m., the school board inspected his dorm with vigilance and serious demeanour. They found those jars of the powdered, harvested abilities, glowing with intimidation, firing back at them. They were horrified, and one volunteer found Shinta's notebook that contained a catalogue of Shinta's victims, and Minoru's name was among those in its list and logs. In total, with the help of the police, over 10 student victims, all from this school, were identified. Minoru was the third by timeline.

Now, Hayato was demanding accountability from the psycho bomber, and Shinta was sweating hard. Kichi, Haru, David, Rachel, James, and Takeru, alongside Catalina, Jojo, and Christine, were present in the gallery. "What are these?" Hayato asked, looking at Shinta with a serious look on his face.

The evidence, Shinta's questionable paraphernalia, was laid on the wooden table.

Shinta was nervous; his voice was trembling harder than a 9-magnitude earthquake. "Y-Yes, sir…I did all that…"

He had to admit it; otherwise, they would torture him in any way to break his will and extract confessions from him.

The school board, including Kiba, Monster, and Devil, were visibly and obviously horrified.

"That was horrible…" one female teacher gasped.

 "Terrible!" Devil added with disgust.

"What is wrong with you?" Kiba slammed his fist on the table.

Kichi and his group were watching the spectacle like people attending a trial in a court.

The police were on standby just in case Shinta's case was updated with his crimes determined by the school board. Takeru watches with feelings of betrayal and fear because of Shinta's darkness. Kichi, meanwhile, used his Foresight to determine whether Shinta would be charged for his crimes or not.

50/50, and it did.

The police took Shinta away with handcuffs on his hands like a teenage criminal psycho. Watching that from his seat, Takeru let out a sigh of relief. His feelings changed to relief. He knows that he will be safe and sound when the psycho is behind bars. After that, some on the school board got up from their seats and walked up to Kichi and his group and shook hands with them while apologizing for overlooking Shinta's behaviour and obsessions.

 "It's okay," Kichi replied brightly.

"We're just fishing out a naughty student here…" Haru added while resting his hands behind his head.

"We made a plan to restrain him with clay and tree trunks," Takeru spoke.

"Clever, kids." Hayato let out a chuckle.

"I hoped that Minoru would be at peace thanks to you guys," Kiba added.

A bit later, at a cemetery within the ward, Minoru's spirit felt at peace thanks to the effort of the kids he had sought for help. "Thank you, guys…" he said softly. "…you have avenged my unjust and brutal death against him."

"Yeah, man, you're welcome," James responded back brightly, his Australian accent cracking out.

"Rest in peace, Minoru-senpai." Haru did a prayer gesture.

Takeru, being a Hindu with some elements from his Bodo ethnicity, did the Hindu prayer gesture.

Kichi, an Evangelical Baptist with Methodist church aesthetics, remained silent with a smile on his face.

"Thanks, again, guys." Minoru smiled back. "I am at peace, and as for that boosted power last time? That would be me."

Mild shocks were sent to Kichi and his group. "Wait, I remembered now!" Rachel responded. She then turned to her group. "I saw Minoru just tap my forehead with his ghostly finger, and I suddenly had powerful swords when I summoned them!"

"No wonder my earth powers became stronger…" David couldn't believe his ears; his mind thought that it was quite cool.

"Man, that was sick and super awesome," Haru muttered a bit too loudly.

"10 seconds, I can see into the future, and that was quite awesome!" Kichi's eyes sparkled in temporary thrill.

"Woah, thanks, Minoru-kun!" Takeru was grateful for his spirit friend.

"That was a noble thing of you," Catalina added, her British accent and British sensibilities flaring up on Minoru's noble actions for her friends, and a reluctant rival, Kichi.

"Yup, I am now a Support Spirit, you guys…" Minoru was proud of himself while hovering above the cemetery grounds. "Anytime, I will provide a boost for your powers when I see that you need them or in a tight situation."

He glanced at them. "Well, I'll be sticking around. Have a good day."

With that, he hovered off to the left and disappeared, watching their lives from the shadows.

Feeling peaceful thanks to their actions, Minoru, Takeru and Haru left some flowers on Minoru's grave, and they and the others left off and returned for school just in case for its 10 a.m. classes. At the same time, Shinta was charged with his crimes and was sent to prison for 15 years.
